There are guys like Venables who turned down Auburn which is a much better gig than OM waiting for his alma mater though. Some guys are picky, no read on Lebby as he is young and Ole Miss might not be enough…🤷🏼‍♂️
He was a QB coach (not OC) at UCF just 3 seasons ago and his only coaching connection at his alma mater is his time as a student assistant since he couldn't play due to injury. He's built his chops outside Norman and expecting him to play a waiting game under a new HC who actually spent 13 seasons COACHING at Oklahoma and then 10 seasons as a DC turning down multiple HC opportunities, seems a little shortsighted. Especially with the pay disparity.

After talking to a few ppl tonight…

M’ba isn’t scheduled to visit anywhere this weekend. Vols and Auburn would make the most sense here in my opinion.

Jared Verse is probable for a Saturday/Sunday visit. He is at Purdue right now before heading to FSU.

Tyree West is set to begin his visit at Tennessee on Friday.

As for Zach Evans, Mack and Golesh were in Dallas today and I don’t believe a final decision on a visit for this weekend has been made. Should know more tomorrow.

AP

I’m really liking the news about M’ba, Verse, and West.

But if we couldn’t at least get Evans to go ahead and commit to a visit this weekend, makes me think we came back with another weak @$$ offer.

Okay. Buckle up, Oda.

First, there's this meme called Wojak, which you can learn more about here: Wojak | Know Your Meme. Wojak is basically this pathetic guy who is always down about something. His "nemesis" is Chad, which you can learn more about here: Yes Chad | Know Your Meme. Chad is an uber confident man who, it is frequently intimated, works out a lot and leads a very traditional lifestyle. To be a Chad is to be something like an alpha male, someone of tremendous stature and confidence, and who probably is ripped.
I thought it meant Charming Dad.

I also thought it was a lie.

I think Lebby moving was smart, if BV lets him run the offense. Cause any OC under Lane is only getting so much credit & control.

It’s why Briles didn’t stay with him & now why Lebby left.

Leaving Kiffin yes, but this all began with a comment that IF Kiffin took the Oregon job, Ole Miss should make Lebby their HC. To which it was then suggested by another poster that he'd rather be the OC at OU than the HC at Ole Miss.

I don't believe that in the slightest.

After seeing how Heupel and staff coach players up, I'm more excited about a top 15-20 class with Heupel than any class in the past few years.
This is the difference in this staff that has be very excited. We saw ALOT of players who had never done a thing make massive jumps this year. Imagine what another year of development will do!

I don't disagree with the move. I'm just contending that if Kiffin had landed another job and Lebby was promoted to HC, he wouldn't have left to be Oklahoma's OC.

Maybe, but I don’t think Venables will last long at Okie… The average HC tenure in the SEC is now likely less than the average NFL RB’s career. With your above analogy, Lebby shouldn’t get a second look by OM, right?

I’m coaching a 9-10 year old boys team and we drafted this kid that is 6’0”. He can’t do anything with his body (rebound, shoot a layup, etc) as much as we try to help. So we just have him set picks everywhere.

His body grew faster than his nerves could grow. Keep coaching him. Once nerves catch up, you will see significant improvement in agility and abilities.

I must have misunderstood, never said he wouldn’t have left if promoted prior to the Okie gig, just not sure he would leave now…

I really hope they do move early signing period to January. How stressful would it be not knowing who your coaches are and having to decide if you’re signing or not?
Just move it back to the first Wednesday in February so I know which day to schedule off work and I can set up my war zone. Miss that!

Goal post moving… I never said he would rather, I said it may be a hard decision for him…
