I’ll flip the question to you OS, how does it benefit Tennessee for other SEC teams to have success? It’s not like we’re recruiting the same athletes TT, Army or Houston are after.

For so many years I been an SEC man and when teams come visiting I like it when we show them why we are the best league in the country. I look at Cincy and see the easy schedule they had with one upset win against ND and I want them to be reminded of that when they come visiting. Recruiting takes care of itself when you win. We just need to keep winning and recruiting will keep picking up. That's just how I look at things. I don't think Bama or GA losing in a playoff is going to change much as far as recruiting goes and now with Coach Hype, our time is coming and the recruits are taking notice like they will again Thursday.

I'm pulling for Cincinnati and Michigan to make the championship game

Rose

Cotton

12 Team playoff and eliminate non conference cupcakes.
The smaller schools make up lost revenue in the remaining bowl games. It’s not f’ing hard to figure out.

These stupid, less than inspired bowl games suck.

Does anyone actually think if TT was a regular season game that MSU wouldn’t just stomp the **** of them? These lower echelon bowls mean nothing to SEC teams that have higher aspirations

That's the running excuse for all the beaten SEC teams

But Texas Tech's staff is leaving. They had no reason to coach a game this well, prepare a team this well, or play like this.

Leach was supposed to have a chip on his shoulder for this game against the program that screwed him over.

To me, there's a hierarchy for who I root for in a game not featuring the Tennessee Vols.

1. Any non-P5 team with some preference given to in-state/local teams
2. Any out of conference team (excluding Ohio State, USC, Notre Dame)
3. Teams that we beat on the regular (ex. Vandy and Kentucky)
4. Teams in the SEC West that aren't Alabama
5. SEC East teams that we are better than
6. USC,Ohio State,Notre Dame
7. Whichever non-Alabama team is good this year

8. Getting hit by a car

9. Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. This order is specific. I still hate Florida and Alabama way more than I hate Georgia.

I believe Leach had every intention of hanging 60+ on them if he could.
