People that have no idea thought this. They just see the name and think you blow them out. Blinders. Probably the same losers that tell people in the stands to sit down when it’s the opening kickoff. I wanted to slap the **** out of them bums. Only in neyland do people not stand for opening kick apparently.
I’m glad I had cool people around me. It was rowdy in my section

Before season
“I know we are going to suck but at least want to see a fun shootout and if we lose I’d rather lose 40-34 instead of 35-3 or 9-3.

Season starts:
Omg this team sucks, these coaches suck, our life is hopeless. I can’t believe we lost 40-34 without our qb, center, top two RBs, best Pass rusher, and best WR talent… I thought we were going 15-0
If we lose 40-34 to Florida... Sure. But Pitt isn't that team. We have 6 teams remaining on our schedule that are better than Pitt.

I think the frustration arises from losing a very winnable game. Sure, most realistic expectations had us losing a bunch. With winnable games being at a premium its very disheartening to lose one that you shouldn't have. Lose to AL, GA, and even FL it's not as disappointing because you expected it. It makes post season less likely.

All of this. Everyone knew 5-7 losses were coming and yes they always suck, but like you alluded to...FOOTBALL IS HERE. We literally wait for it all year. Good lord. Enjoy it people!
This. I never saw any expectations of us being a good football team this year, so let’s just enjoy the ride and see if we get better as the season goes

I bet Pitt would beat a team like South Carolina like they stole something

We actually don’t know that. Bama, Ole Miss and UGa yes. Not so sure you can definitely say that about anyone else. Florida hasn’t looked great especially at QB. I bet Pitt would give them a game. Look at TX AM everyone hyping them as top 10 and they barely beat Kent St and Colorado. KY ain’t running for 200 yards on Pitt like they did Mizzu. Pitt defense has been one of the best in country in sacks and tfl under Narduzzi yearly. Just because they are ACC doesn’t mean they suck. People are saying they could be a 10 win team this year.

Ummmm y’all do know we aren’t going to a bowl game regardless?

Lol stfu with this crap acting like we got our butt kicked and hopeless. Smh at this type of attitude. I would understand if we got smashed and not in the game but we had play calls to where we could have been up 21-0 if hit a couple big pass plays. We went back and forth until our last possession. Narduzzi has said this is his best team at Pitt and it’s year 7 for him there. We had several starters out or get knocked out of the game. Maybe you should just stop watching if your this pathetic of a loser

Wow. Tell me how you really feel lil fella

Probably so. Vandy too. Have both of those games as a win. What other teams on our schedule other than our OOC games would they beat? I think KY beats them. 50/50 with MO. FL, AL, GA are losses for them. OM if I were to bet today would beat them.

Pitt is a solid team but nothing special imo. We gave that one away yesterday.

Step by step. First one is to not look like a **** sandwich while losing. Game over midway through the first quarter was not a fond memory. Now we're down to fourth down calls in the fourth...baby step.

Can't deny this logic. We didn't look as bad as last year. Was just hoping for better QB play than what we are seeing. It's been too long.

I think Pitt, uk and mizzou are too tough to call. I don’t think any of them standout. I think Pitt has the best QB and probably the best dline of those teams
We definitely gave it away. I think we win that game 7/10 times

They are a solid team….. on par with kentucky and Missouri….. they had a top 10 rated defense last season and a 5th year senior QB…… it’s definitely a team that we could have beaten especially as we become a more stable program….. I know everyone wants to win but building this program is the most important thing right now.

And that's why folks are so disappointed. Wins are at a premium and when you give one away, it's very disheartening. I understand people's frustration. I don't fault people for being down on the team. They've seen these things play out over the last few years. I personally don't care that much, maybe that's a bad thing? A good thing?

Sports work like any other business. If you build up a lot of goodwill for your brand, people will keep buying even when you’ve had a few flops. But you can only trade on that for so long before it dries up.

Baseball had no goodwill built up. It has a little now though. If we aren’t good next year, people will put up with it for a little while, but will stop attending if we don’t turn it around quickly.

Football had a mountain of goodwill in reserve. That’s why people have kept coming through a decade or garbage. But it’s gone now, and that’s why I believe only winning will cure the attendance problem.

So you’re saying some are more like customers, than fans?
