I really think UT is set up to make a run in the tournament. They really need to be able to run a good half court offense and hit open shots. We've shot horribly in losses this year and that can't happen.

But their defense is elite. The guys have defined roles. Lastly, guards win tournaments. And KC/ZZ are both very good.

Seems like we've figured out offense. Last 3 games we've averaged just 19.3 attempts from 3, down from 26.6 attempts in the previous games.

Good luck to the kid, but I doubt he ever plays basketball. Malachi Wiseman was a straight balla and he never played or even dressed out.

Wideman doesn't want to play basketball though. Really comes down to which sport are you more interested in playing.

Yeah we'll need to hit just enough 3's. We'll certainly get looks throughout the tournament. We absolutely have championship caliber defense though.

You could say that about any team in March though.

We just need to be at full health I think. Fulky is just now starting to get back to pre-covid form. Uros is banged up now, so hopefully that's not to serious and we'll have to see how Aidoo holds up since he had an illness and leg injury early this year.

Apparently, he didn't want to play football, either

I think you nailed the difference between the two right there. You saying Davis can't do it because Weidman was not able to do it is a false premise. The time management, discipline, and responsibility to do BOTH is insanely high. Most people have no idea the commitment that is required to play at this level, especially if you are going to play for Barnes. Weidman had the athletic ability to do both but didn't have the mindset to do it. Davis' ability to do both will not be determined as much by his athletic ability. It will be how much he wants to be dedicated to his sports vs how much he wants to "enjoy the college experience."
