Also best return guy in college football.Lot of unknown beforehand. IF Bru enrolls, IF Bru performs at a high level, IF Tillman matches and/or exceeds last season’s production, health hypotheticals and then the requisite Underwear Olympics and Pro Day numbers. Biggest factor in Velus going second day was his domination in Senior Bowl practices and his numbers at the Combine and Pro Day.
As a Bears fan reading the complaints over the pick, it wasn’t because of his return game. It was a bonus! But Poles was increasingly impressed with his overall skills and even watched film of Velus with Fields before rating him on the board. Also best return guy in college football.
In 2021, Jones had 62 receptions for 807 yards and seven TDs for the Vols in the best season of his career. He finished as the FBS active leader with 2,973 kick return yards in his career.

Didn't he get half of his rushing TDs against Louisville? I could be misremembering, but I thought he got 4 against them. Will Levis...a study
6'3" 220lbs+
Returning as a senior (will be his 5th year in college) from a team than went 10-3 in the SEC
One year stats as a starter: 66% 2826 passing yards, 24 passing TDs vs 13 INTs he added 376 rushing yards and 9 TDs on the ground as well
So he's got prototype QB size, he's shown he can be accurate and he can use his legs...that's why he's got the hype.
Now the bad, lost his OC and was the first time Kentucky under Stoops had an OC that seemed capable of showing life in the passing game, lost his best WR in the draft and also lost his starting Center and starting right tackle. Kentucky's last 10 win season they followed up by going 8-5 and then 5-6. They feast on an extremely weak ooc schedule and have benefited from the SEC East being down...South Carolina, Us, Florida, etc. their yearly west opponent Mississippi State also has been down since Mullen left, with just 1 over 500 season in the last 3 years (seems Leech has his system and guys in place now so not likely to be a sub 500 team going forward).
I think we'll see Levis under more pressure mentally as well as physically, Kentucky has mostly been a developmental program and to lose as much as they did off that offense (including the staff loses) will be hard to replicate last year's success.
