We don’t have the appeal LSU does. They’re seen as ready made to succeed. We’re seen as a sure fire way to get fired and have to start over with lingering NCAA issues, coaches lasting an average of 3.5 years since Fulmer got canned, and losing year after year.Watch LSU pull someone good like Campbell. And we got stuck with Huepel
It sucks too. OU and TX are just going to make things that much tougherWe don’t have the appeal LSU does. They’re seen as ready made to succeed. Texas will be forced to get it right when they come here. USC loses attractiveness just by way of being in the PAC 12. (Words of an agent, not mine)Texas will be an interesting one to watch once Sark gets fired in a couple years. If they ever make the right hire.. look out.
Them and USC are sleeping giants. Top jobs who just haven’t got it right the past few hires.
That’s the thing…… you are going to have to be patient….. Milton is our best/only chance to have a guy that can run the offense effectively…. He can make all the throws(not talking about his issue connecting), he is mobile and can be a factor in all the RPO’s, Read option, designed QB run part of the offense…. Hooker is our most mobile qb and decent in the short passing game but not much of a threat down the field…. He can steal us a few games but that may not last as teams adjust to him and the limited plays that we are able to run with him…. Bailey is not and has not been an option at this time…… we just have to trust the staff to try and get either Milton or Bailey as productive as possible bc they are the only options we have. That’s been my whole thing. Is Milton the best for the offense? Yeah maybe eventually. The part that gets me aggravated is, he hasn’t changed since HS, so everyone is hoping for the best that he turns it around. Well, we did the same with Pruitt, nothing happened. So I think Heupel is the right coach? Yes, I’ve said that multiple times. Do I think he is a wizard and will change Milton like everyone else does? Right now, no.
I hope he does, because Milton is a Culpepper clone and if he gets there then he will be a stud. It’s just I have no faith that he will do that. And being kicked around for 15 years, I don’t have patience for a QB to get it, especially one that’s struggled since being in college
I’m happy with the start to our season, no doubt. I’ve had more fun watching a Heupel team then anyone since Fulmer.
