I did....I agree with you to a point, but you didn't read my posts either...I said "A line will be crossed that is one too many"

Are you just gonna take your chains like a good little slave, or are you going to fight..IF..it comes to that?

Some things are worth dying for...IF they take our guns we are finished...we will be slaves to them.
I never said anything you're inferring per just rolling over and "taking it", for whatever that means.

I said that starting off with rants about killing people isn't the best way to fight a public narrative story when gun rights folks are portrayed as unhinged psychos with itchy trigger fingers--especially two days after a mass shooting that Capital Hill will undoubtedly try to use to their full advantage. And that's exactly what you did, kimosabe.

You read yellow bellied pacifism into my post when what I specifically said was that calm, rational dialog is our best action before/until it gets to that.

And, for the record, the founding fathers tried to reason with England leading up to the revolution, and had to be very careful to win the narrative throughout. I'm glad they weren't as knee-jerk as you.

But like I said, you do you, Carry on. I don't feel like dancing in your excluded middle that fails to see the middle grounds this side of armed conflict, or the fruitful ground between shouting threats to kill people and dropping our guns off at the nearest gulag.

I'm libertarian, I'm against gun control. But I sure as hell know no one is going to knock on your door to take your guns. It would amount to open rebellion and possibly millions of lives. No way to put that genie back in the bottle. You just sound like a paranoid hick.
I have said..IF..over and over.

Unlike you I can see the extremists lefties taking over at some point if things don't change...that tail is already wagging the dog.

If I sound like a ignorant hick, you sound like a blind fool.

So everyone, asking for some prayers please. Our daughter has Metopic craniosynostosis. It is the ridge in the front of her forehead. The skull fused too fast in the womb and will cause complications with brain growth if unfixed. The surgery will last about 6 hours. They’re gonna cut ear to ear and restructure her skull. They said it’s basically carpentry for the skull. She’s gonna look pretty bad initially from the swelling but it will go away in a few days. This surgery will prevent pressure from her brain and allow normal growth in the frontal lobes. It’s 99% successful. We are both comfortable with it as we can be after discussing it with the doctor at Vandy. We will stay in the ICU for 4-5 days. I’ll definitely keep you guys posted with any updates. Y’all guys are awesome man. Much love to all! GBO
Bump. Surgery bright and early tomorrow at Vandy. Would still love prayers. Thank you guys for being such a wonderful family. As always, much love and GBO!!!

Why don't you save your witty long winded vitriol for those that actually want to take your freedom instead of wasting it on an ally? All I said to start with is the first one that tries to take my guns is the first one in the ground.

As long as that doesn't happen, then no one has a damn thing to fear from me...except those that would do me or my family harm.

OK. Listen. This will be my last post on this.

I know you're not sitting there itching to kill someone. I never claimed you are. PLEASE... Go back and read my posts. I said that people leading off with threats to kill people is counter to what you want (gun rights), and feeds the desires of those you fear (the radical left that wants to take your guns).

You said:

Well, those extremist lefties are actually a pretty small segment of the population. Just like extremist righties are. For any fringe group to make ground, they have to gain sway with the fairly moderate majority. That majority is who really gives power to the political machine.

So, to sway parts of the fairly moderate majority, the fringe left creates the narrative that gun owners are a bunch of stupid, violent, unhinged wackos that are just itching to kill someone. So, what do you do as first response to gun control debate? By God, you start screeching about killing some people.

Thanks.

You're doing us all a real solid there.

(And it's a riot that you call my responses "vitriol" when you're the one barking about putting people in the ground and posting like you're itching for a civil war in response to someone who's merely saying, "Gee, wouldn't it be so nice not to need a civil war?!")

So, as last response... Carry on. Do you. But you're doing us no favors.

The time gap between your birth year and now and your birth year minus your age is pretty wild to think about. For me…

1946 …⬅️ 1984 ➡️ … 2022

The amount of change in this world is quite great to think about. In the time I’ve been alive I could have seen the end of WWII. And I think of myself as relatively young.
