That’s a great question and one I probably should have asked my project manager when we met at the house before closing. I’ll ask him when I see him hanging out at the other houses he’s finishing. It definitely could have not been watered enough. Before we closed we made them replant a tree and 5 bushes because they were scorched and not revivable. So there’s already a pattern of it. Plus I’ve been watching the other houses that haven’t closed yet but got sod in the last week and they definitely aren’t being watered a lot. We will see what happens to theirs over the next week and how brown theirs gets. Thanks for the info though. For now I’m just going to water a lot and hope it comes back.

If you post a picture of some of the grass (insert marijuana pic) I can probably ID it.

The benefit is that you've at least got ground coverage and wont have a bunch of erosion if you can get seed to set into the dead sod.
