Program has great foundation. Great season. Honestly the team looked a little worn since and including the SEC..and it is a long season. Our fielding was not good and ND's was far superior all weekend.

Every fanbase believes like this. It is classic "us v them" tribalism and paranoia. If you think this is a Vol thing, you haven't ventured out. It's every team, every sport, college and pro.

It's just basic fandom psychology, nothing more or less really.

Fans only watch and focus on their own "screwovers"...they (you) don't follow every other teams' wrongdoings and bad calls. It's selective bias in its purest form. The same way every poker player remembers every one of their bad beats...but not a one of the times they gave someone else a bad beat. It's just how we're wired.

Like any other psychological biases, we can buy into it like most do, by not being cognizant of it, or develop the awareness of our own biases and rise above it. This goes for dozens of other psychological biases and impacts all of life. Sports fan psychology is just an interesting microcosm of it all.

Well I guess the only consolation is that we kicked everyone's ARSE basically all season in the SEC, so no one in our conference can really say anything even if they get farther-- head to head, with the exception of Arky, we swept just about everyone... so there's that small piece... I could give a F about any other conference... and We'd kick ND's ARSE in football this fall if we played them... GBO.

1. I can’t believe that Ole Miss squad we demoralized in the first series of the year is going to the CWS. But that’s baseball for ya.

I would like to see a football program that’s had more rules changed or blown calls or controversies in the last 20 years than us.

Who assigns the umps? Surely you're intelligent enough to know the NCAA controls all of it. If you don't think they didn't want the Vols eliminated as soon as they could then keep on believing. They didn't like the vols brashnes. The umps didn't like our brashness. They've been trying to provoke us for two weeks. Keep on believing everything is on the up and up. They need folks like you. Don't question it all.

From the regionals to today , this team was just getting by. They were having to comeback and never looked sharp after the SEC tourney. Time for football

I completely agree. They did enough to win games but looked nothing like the mid season form or the SEC tourney form.

They just didn’t play well.

The pitching was bad at times too and got them behind a lot.

Lulz. They hit Gilbert, ruled he leaned into it. Reviewed it doubled down on it. The ND player leaned in, over the plate. They ruled he was hit, awarded him the base, reviewed it, doubled down on it. That's the Crooked ass umps in a nutshell. You keep believing there's no bias too. They count on you "realist".

My theory is the reason number one in baseball doesn't go to the World series often is they draw the hottest teams at the end of the season. Ole Miss is probably going and we beat them 27-0. We beat Auburn.. etc. etc. You think we wouldn't have crushed Southern Miss or some of those others? We drew the best offensive teams and a team that should have been hosting due to their play late in the season.

Yeh don't care. CBB goes right back to nothing status and nothing viewership without Vol fans, until next Spring. No care to tune in...now we have Celtics, NHL playoffs, MLB, and some USMNT exhibitions leading up to our nation's best World Cup of all time, another big basketball season and SEC championship, and Hype leading us to a NY6 Bowl!
