Y'all ever pop back in the forum from a hiatus with a ton of notifications then freak out trying to remember what stupid thing you said that made people mad? Then realize it was benign. Just me?

Usually I wake up after a night of drinking too much afraid to look at my notifications.

Used to be like that a long time ago but now when I hit a hiatus and come back to a bunch of notifications I’ll usually just hit that bell and move on and usually won’t even try and read to catch up. Clear bell, clear mind.

From the file of make of it what you will –

There have been a number of analysts, writers, and commentators suggesting that likely the only threat to Georgia winning the East again this year is Tennessee. Even a few Dawg fans are eying that game with some measure of uncertainty.

I’ve said that the Georgia game for us from a data driven analysis perspective is just outside the margin for toss-up designation. Most analysts see Georgia as a two score favorite at Sanford Stadium.

I’ve reported that Bill Connelly’s SP+ model sees our game with Alabama this year (at Neyland) as a one score game, a toss-up.

The Alabama writer for the Roll Tide website hosted by USA Today recently provided his game by game predictions for Alabama’s regular season this year. His view is the Tennessee game will be a one score game.

Tennessee isn’t quite back to the level of competing with Alabama. However, this game being in Knoxville could make for an electric environment that might give Alabama a scare.

The data analysts think the Tide writer is overestimating Alabama’s offensive performance by around 7 points per game. I think they could be right. jmo.
