This coaching search has been the scourge of my existence since Schiano Sunday. I just get so pissed off at having to wait for all this. If we are going to be disappointed, I'd rather them go ahead and rip the bandaid off.

One poster made a great point earlier: Fulmer could have hired Steele at any point if he really wanted. He's not coming out on top here. We arent going to turn Pruitt away because he wants to coach in the playoff. That's just pure stupidity. If that happens, Fulmer will have garnered no trust.

Maybe he got annoyed with all the freaking interviews. Did we make him talk to an HR recruiter to kick this process off, and then walk him around to talk to various managers?

No, no, no, no information (not that my info matters anyway).

I do believe they were in contract talks with Pruitt. That's not going too far out on a limb.

I don't think they're going to let him walk away given this is the first shot Fulmer gets to do it the right way.

I do also believe Tony B when he said Sexton may have had to leave.

So putting all this together, they're could be a little more work to do to get everything signed with Pruitt.

Just negotiating still I guess. Can't believe its taking this long. It is possible that Kingston is right and they are going to meet up with Sexton to finish everything. Hopefully. I'm not gonna make it much longer lol

Guys it's quite possible the holdup is seeing whether or not the clause that Bama requires of its coaches coaching in the playoffs can be negated due to the change in recruiting and signing period. They might also explore how much it would cost to break it. OR it could simply be too much timing wise to do it today after the trip to NYC running long.

Yeah I thought that too for a while but he actually called the Currie/Leach situation way before it ever became public.

He said he Currie flew out there & was informed to come back to Knoxville & he refused. Clearly getting info from somewhere.
