Don’t lose him because of the playoffs good grief

He should be able to coach the playoffs and recruit and work for us while he isn't practicing or preparing for Clemson.

If they are saying he can't recruit for us like I think Brice is saying the deal should die. That isn't how Bama has done it before

Peter Burns was on Nashville radio yesterday and gave a very specific guess of announcement time of Thursday at Noon. I thought he was crazy and it would be announced today. Think it’s possible that everyone was told to sit on it until tonight/tomorrow morning? I have a hard time believing it wouldn’t leak out, personally.

My guess is it’s truly all still up in the air which is really discouraging.

Why would Saban let him use Alabama expenses to recruit to Tennessee? Lol he can coach and it’s not uncommon that assistant coach coach bowl games.

Bama can suck it if that what they’re saying. They can’t stop him from taking our job and recruiting for us. Maybe Saban knows Pruitt wants to coach out the year (maybe he gets a big bonus if they win) and is playing hardball, but at the end of the day, Saban can’t stop it. Worst case, Pruitt had to choose whether to coach the playoff or take our job—but we shouldn’t be the ones to force that choice on him.

Who cares? I’d be more upset about Tucker coaching for UGA than Pruitt for Bama. At the end of the day, let him do it if he wants to. If he takes our job, he’s going to be working hard for UT. The timing is awkward, but there’s no harm in letting him finish the year playing for a championship if he wants to.

I would think Pruitt, a redneck from northern Alabama, probably hated Tennessee growing up. But when you're coaching for yourself, you don't care where you are.

Guys I got this . I called Phil and told him the solution . He is going to call Saban and tell him:

" Hey short stuff how's it hangin'? Look it is breaking our hearts that hiring your DC may adversely affect your chance of winning another national championship. So we are going to send Bobby Shoop over to finish out the year. Anything for you lil guy."

Guess Kiffin leaving last year is the excuse from Bammer for not winning it all and they don't want to repeat history. As for us...next! A word we are now used to.

Yep. I hate Bama, but I could get over it if I had this kind of career opportunity working for Alabama. Doubling my salary isn’t even a good comparison. It’s guaranteed generational wealth we’re talking about, plus the opportunity to succeed at the highest level.
