Do you guys think UT has more swag than UF right now? I haven't looked at the recruiting rankings. I consider them our measuring stick, given both have new coaches.

no, it’s robot monkey.

Sounds like Palmer is NC ST bound but getting ITS, Copeland, and walker would still be an awesome pull. Add Beal to that also. :good!:

I wonder if Palmer is trending to NC State now, because maybe Campbell told the coaches last night he’s coming to TN?

I heard on sports talk yesterday that Florida's class is small and if you looked at it solely based on average star rating that the gators are highly ranked. I think they said 7th.

the chat made me think we have missed everyone. But tonight there’s a positive vibe towards campbell that he is a possibility. Who knows if he comes but he is listening. And then, its who i never thought we had a chance with is suddenly bringing his entire family and not just his dad. Copeland appears to really be listening. I don’t know what to think

tough to say. i think both have some. they got the QB flip, and we've made offers on folks no one thought we'd get a shot at, and have had two (at least) bama leans to come on board in Peterson and Woodson.

i think maybe we have been more noticeable with all the activity we've had the last month. but i think FL is doing just fine.

i think we're only really competing for one big time recruit at this point, in Copeland, so you could claim a small victory there if he comes here over FL.

i think we could make the bigger splash if we can get 3-4 of these guys we really want to sign...Walker, Copeland, Griffin, ITS, Campbell...among others.

over the long haul, i think i trust our staff on the recruiting front more so than i do Mullen. and i don't think Mullen is garbage or anything.

I would really hate to see another Kiffin situation with CJP. Legendary coach moves on. Violations start coming to light and sanctions imminent. First few coaches say no because they know they will be fired in 3-4 years once the sanctions clear. The job falls to an alumnus with a so-so W/L record as a FBS HC. I don't think it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

My wife often creates things to worry about...do you know her?

Rusty Mansell was on 680 and said towards the end of his interview that UGA needs to worry about Pruitt. He said there are going to be some huge battles going forward and UGA fans already know what he can do in terms of recruiting.

If Pruitt gets the Vols rolling, why would anyone want to follow Saban’s footsteps? Impossible situation to step into unless you keep going 11-1/12-0.

Same reason I think Dabo stays at Clemson. Saban retiring makes Pruitt and Dabo’s jobs easier at their schools whereas following him at Bama would make their job much harder

I recall when fans were worried Dooley would take the UGA job, and Butch would leave us for Michigan....

Let’s see the man coach for a few years before we start to worry

I should have quoted this post in my last. I was just saying that this scenario isn't out of the question.

Well, there are only two scenarios I can envision where Bama comes after Pruitt.

1. He kills it here and wins at a very high level. This scenario makes me happy for obvious reasons.

2. The Kiffin scenario in which Bama basically ends up in a really bad spot because there's some sort of scandal going on/sanctions are pending and no one wants the job. This seems like a long shot IMO, but this scenario also makes me happy because it's been a while since we've had the pleasure of watching Bama really squirm.

Of course I hope it's scenario #1 and that Pruitt decides to stay here, but I'll worry about that if/when the time comes.

Also, side note, I still think they go after Dabo to replace Saban, and I think that's the only job in the country he leaves Clemson for.
