I'm a liberal college professor that maintains close friendships with the conservative guys I grew up with. Sometimes we find consensus. Sometimes we agree to disagree.

And, no matter what our political persuasions, we all f@#$ing hate the Gators and the Tide.

Stfu, snowflake. :)

Don't be a dick. What he said is correct. Recruiting is fluid and with Pruitt swinging for the fences with the best of the best there will be more ups and downs, naturally. Sure, Hubbs (and all of the local guys) will take some time to build relationships with the new staff and have better info. But he's still #1.

Some of you folks need to take a step back and really think about how recruiting works and stop trying to find someone to blame when you get upset at how things change. It's recruiting folks, news alert...things change daily. ESPECIALLY when recruiting kids that are wanted by the best programs in the country.

I'm not suggesting he's "trash." Simlpy that he isn't as plugged in as maybe he was under the previous regime - to include during the coaching search.

It's simple, really.... if you charge $ for a service, you're held to a higher standard.

Many understand recruiting is fluid. So them reporting Eddie Smith is a strong Vol lean, and then two weeks later and post UA visit, he's barely if even considering us, most don't hold a grudge.

But when they say this or that about a recruit or the staffs interest in the recruit, and within hours or the next day the exact opposite happens, well, expect to get called out about it.

Okay, in that case who you're really mad at is the kids we're recruiting, not the sites reporting. It's not VQ's fault that Bama decided to turn up the heat on Smith and make him a top priority. You realize that right?

Uh... maybe re-read my post. Specifically the third sentence.

I'll copy and paste it here for convenience:

And for the record, I'm not "mad" at anyone. I'm thoroughly enjoying the recruiting process. Myself, along with others, have just commented on how it seems some our not as plugged in as they used to be. Others have responded defending them. Guess they're mad?

I have an account to both sites and both sites writers have said numerous times these kids aren’t talking to anyone, so everyone is guessing. Hubbs said it again today. He said this maybe the craziest signing day they have ever covered.

I'm not the biggest recruiting junkie in the world, but I can't recall this many major targets (4* & 5*) potentially changing their mind at such a late hour to a school they weren't even considering before. Couple that with a brand new staff that hasn't even been on the job for a month, the Hubbs of the world are definitely in uncharted waters.

IMO, the reason it seems they might not be as plugged in at the moment is a combination...completely new staff (and completely new board of recruits) that VQ will have to build a relationship with, early signing period making this year chaos, and the level of athletes Pruitt and co are recruiting. Simple as that.

And the fact that we've not been involved with many recruits recently where there was actual signing day drama. It's just a totally different animal.

Think about Drew Richmond's recruitment. We are essentially filling 8 spots with kids who have a recruitment that somewhat mirrors his.

yup.

Do you have a VQ sub?

Did for a while. Lurked a little over a year IIRC, never posted, except once in a thread discussing a real estate purchase. You can check my post history here where I used to share War Room updates just a few months ago.

Cancelled it when I closed the credit card that was auto-billed, and never bothered to renew because I prefer the Vbulletin software this site uses (more familiar with it from other forums I used to be an Admin at), and the subscribed info was provided here almost as fast as it was there.

If not, what free info are you specifically complaining on and on about?

There's your rub, I think. I'm not really complaining - just calling a spade a spade. If that's considered getting mad/complaining, then you and Ziti are likewise mad and complaining that I'm complaining.

So it's either that, or we're a bunch of people discussing contrasting opinions on a discussion forum.

Idk?

I know from reading a little about the Redskins name change controversy that it's something like 90% of Native Americans do not want the name changed and Redskins is a very common name for reservations schools team names.

PC idiots are offended that they're not offended.
