Observation from recruit quotes lately:

This staff took some time to get going but is making their presence known. My take is that they're not selling ice to an Eskimo, rather they are selling real football experience. This type of pitch takes time and persistence. I will patiently sit by and watch it all unfold over the next 7-9 months. I have no expectations and plan to enjoy the ride.

There was a documentary done by a British private investigator that made a strong case that it was OJ's son that did the murders. The guy had a history of violence and mental issues. He also apparently had an unhealthy obsession with Nicole. There are rumors they could have been sexually involved and that he killed her for getting with that waiter.

How old was OJ’s son in 1963? Does anyone know if he has ever been to Dallas?

Agree and I love it. The sales pitch is what you see in 2018 will be the worst team of the Pruitt era. Come to Tennessee, have a chance at immediate playing time, get coached by this proven staff, and be a part in turning it all around.

It's April, but as we sit here today, we have a legit chance at landing Quavaris Crouch, Darnell Wright, and Wayna Morris. Three highly rated likely 5 star guys, and this coming off a 4-8 season.

Pretty amazing if you think about it.

It is a new system so anticipating a WR being in a spot takes time. Unless you expect him to throw blindly at all times. If so the passes will be going back by him for walk in TDs.

All i can say ,so i don’t break my vow of not debating the 2 anymore until fallg ,is that i hope he turns out better than Justin Martin did for your and all of our sakes

He’s had an overkill running game and looked average. I’d love to see him vs Bama, SCAR and LSU defenses. With a patchwork line and Jones as his head coach. Don’t think it would end well.

Dude you can’t blame butch for every player that didn’t live up to the hype. JG, Martin, Byrd, etc a lot of other players have overcame him to have great college and pro careers. Sooner or later it just goes back to the player.

Can we blame butch specifically for qbs though since there seem to be a bunch that leave and get drafted. Peterman and I'm guessing Riley Ferguson will get drafted this year come to mind. It seems like there was another one too but I can't think of it so maybe not. Last year's OC and QB coach were objectively bad at their jobs. And JG's 2 best games came after butch was fired last year. He showed immediate improvement by just not having butch inside the stadium.

Ferguson should’ve left. He was never going to beat out Dobbs. Anyone that was around then could vouch for that outside of maybe Ainge Bc he has some weird obsession with Ferguson. Dobbs went on to have a fantastic career here particularly his last year with a bad Oline as well. He just bailed them out constantly with his legs.

I’m not defending butch as a coach at all. Just saying there have been countless players all over that overcame worse coaches than butch. Just seems like an easy go to defense of players.

I agree. We seemed to have a pretty good NFL draft last year...

I wouldn't say Ferguson left for lack of development. If Ferguson isn't hurt his freshman year, then he most likely plays, and the next few years may be different. Ferguson has admitted that he just wasn't happy, and it really had nothing to do with his play on the field.

I don't really disagree with that. My point is that you seem to lean that JG and some others won't improve from last year and maybe they don't. But I think a lot of these guys that people have written off will make strides this offseason and fall camp and put themselves in positions to make an impact this season. Will some just quit or not put in the effort and fail? Sure. But last season it just seemed like a lot of them were desperate for real leadership from their coach. They are getting it now and hopefully they are able to step up.

He had one SEC win without Josh Dobbs

Tennessee is like a kid that has been in and out of a series of bad relationships. We meet someone and they seem nice. They tell us all the things we want to hear at first. They tell us how much they care and that they are going to be good to us. Then they turn out to be a cheater or lazy or a liar. After so many of those relationships we have begun to be tentative in pouring ourselves 100% into a new one. The thing is, we have been meeting all those others in the wrong place. The wrong sort of people introduced us. Phil Fulmer introduced us to this new coach. PF bleeds more orange than most of us. He would not introduce us to a loser. It is hard but we should be a little more willing to give this relationship our 100% based on where it is coming from. I would have been there yesterday if it had been possible. I am excited about what we saw. There is always things to work on but we are having to start with the very basics so we have got to give it time.

So we are Catbone in this analogy?
Dang, nevergo catbone... :)

Actually, it was the secret service agent who accidentally made the second (and fatal) shot.

Seen (and read the book on) that theory. Pretty thin. And even in that, the “accidental shot” wasn’t the fatal shot. Kennedy wasn’t surviving the first one in the neck.
