All or Nothing Dallas Cowboys on Amazon Prime is great.

Dooley and Dez is interesting

Jason Witten is a great leader

WHEn you get to the finale or the one before that (during the high school state champ game) i swear it’s dave hart in the press box with jerry.

Lots of WR meeting room stuff.

Dooley is a weird guy. Backs down from Dez every time camera is on. Acts more like a star struck fan than coach.

I’ve always wondered how you coach another grown man that makes a gazillion more dollars than you, carries around the badge of entitlement, could physically destroy you, thinks they have nothing else to learn, and probably doesn’t even know your name, especially as an assistant.

To be fair to Dooley that’s part of it in the Pros. NBA, nfl, mlb etc. stars are coached and treated differently.

He had two great rounds. I hope he is back, but it is way too early to be saying that.

He has had several good tournaments now. Not just this weekend. He showed enough this weekend that he can win a tournament again. That was always the question.

For sure.

There was a time when two great rounds from Tiger would have wilted the rest of the field. Golf is in a different era now.

Exactly. The fear factor is gone and there are so many more elite golfers than there were a decade ago. Tiger is still highly talented, but he's got a lot more work to do and age is not on his side.

I think it was more that he is not spending money on it but is still a fan. He is upset with the admin ect and HOH just like the rest of us. He is not confident in CPF and CJP getting the support they need and deserve. He thinks this is the last chance with Phil to bring us back and Phil will do his best. He just thinks the admin will get in their way but if anyone can do it these guys can. So maybe I wasn't clear in what I wrote. Sounded like he will watch on TV and be a fan but is just tired like so many of the handcuffs that are put on the athletic program and he is not confident that it is fixed but Phil will give it a shot.

That makes more sense. On the whole issue, this is the last year with Bill as governor, so some influence begins to be diluted with his departure despite the family still trying to run things with their money. Having said that, how tied in is Randy Boyd with the Haslams? I know he’s a Knoxville guy too.

Overall, I get the feeling that Phil is here to bridge the gap and steer us back in the right direction. All indications so far is that he has given an open checkbook to the football program, the staff is at least the most qualified staff since Kiffin, and he is gonna be here at least a few more years. That alone tells me it’s not worth throwing away right now. I was close to giving up hope myself 6 months ago, but not now.

How close? Sold Boyd the Tennessee Smokies retaining a security interest and Boyd served as Haslams Commissioner of Economic and Community Development. Boyd is a UT grad, Bill is not and Jimmy is but not sure they were there at the same time.

Larry posted for the first time in several months in the Davenport thread. Nothing earth shattering. Just shows he has pretty much given up on UT football. Said they will take one more shot at it for the next 18 months but doesn’t expect anything in his lifetime and no longer spends any money for the University.

Personally, if CJP doesn’t pull this off, I do not think we will ever get back to being back at the top again.

More and more long-time donors are disengaging. UT has become a has-been in most of the sports we used to dominate. We didn't just backslide; we've been scraping around the bottom for a while and have been incapable of finding the way back. Programs like SCAR and Miss St have passed us in multiple sports-- both men's and women's.

The reality is, we're far away from winning a national championship in any sport, especially football. And fans and donors have lost patience.

The administration overplayed their hand. They actually thought that this rabid fan base would sit back and be content to slide into the ranks of USCe, Vandy and Ky annually, distracted by shiny objects and clap approvingly for 7 win seasons, with none over our rivals and Music City Bowl appearances.

Well, if the captains are hell bent on sinking the ship, at least the donors refuse to continue swabbing the deck

He has. He is definitely feeling healthier and his putting was terrific this weekend. I guess I want to see him one before I say he is back. I really hope he is.

I guess it just depends on what people define as "he's back." I agree that he isn't going to win like he used to. I believe it means to be relevant again and just compete. It has been years since he had been competing. Take out Simpson, and he would have been playing for a title on the back nine on Sunday at the 5th major. I'd say he is competing again.
