No he hasn’t. Hasn’t been the best player in his own team for a long time.

People always gave him a pass for some reason. Now he’s at GS people are having selective memory.

Hate on KDs move all you want, I agree it was a b move, but saying he hasn’t even been the best player on his own team in a long time is just so wrong.

It’s not. Everyone has selective memory about him now.

Couldn’t beat GS so he had to join them.

Got people forgetting his past. He always got a pass for some reason. Never understood that.

Jordan retired (3rd time) the same year LeBron got drafted. It’s not like they played in two totally different eras as some like to act here.

Kobe needs more run in this argument though. Kobe won a ship with probably the worst championship roster maybe in the last 20 years. Heck, maybe the last 30

Mavs had two hall of famers on that team, plus JET, DMVP Tyson Chandler etc...

Idk why people undervalue how great Dirk is

But Kobe won 2 with Gasol who Imo isn’t even close to being HOF

Who was the next best player? Bynum? He had like 4 good years

Artest? He was basically a defense only player

Despite what looks like a blatantly obvious attempt to drag on the debate by posting the 30 for 30, I was actually tired of the arguments before it started, and that wasn’t my goal. My thought process was that I love MJ, it looks really good, and it held relevancy to the current topic of conversation.

Just some clarity on the subject. I, too, appreciate good debate during offseason blah, but am ready to move on to the next “agree to disagree” topic.

I think that was Dirk with the Mavs.

But to your point, both those rosters were pretty bad

Saying he hasn’t been the best player on his own team in a long time is just laughable. Even on a loaded GS team he is still the best player.

I don’t know why people hate on KD so bad for that anyway. It’s free agency. This has been going on for years. Nobody said anything about Shaq joining the Lakers. It’s what the stars do now.

Shaq didn’t join the nba champions. Kobe was in high school.

Either way, who determines what is and isn’t an acceptable team for a fee agent to go to? Does the team have to completely suck? Barely made the playoffs the previous year? What is the threshold?
