I just think it would be cool be more like high school. Have like 15 guys. Would love to see Aaron judge have to come in and pitch in the playoffs. Would make fantasy baseball really fun too

Ron, the problem with that is he'll want to go to the Yankees so he can win a title and there will be 9 of him. It will be a nightmare for the GM.

Crazy baseball Idea: i think baseball needs to totally embrace the 2 way play like the Chinese guy for the angels. Do that by trimming rosters down like 18 tops. Have like 11 primary hitters and 7 primary pitchers. I want it to be a common theme to have to put in a 1st baseman to pitch or having a pitcher have to play RF. It would make subbing way more important. This whole idea of having 8 specialty guys out of the pen is boring and it adds major time to games brining in a lefty for one batter than subbing him back out.

I'm gonna have to say no. I like the idea of trimming the roster, but not so short that hitters have to pitch. I think teams need no more than 10 pitcher 5 starters and 5 relievers. Either let the starters go deep or have a pen of guys that can go a long way

I went to a minor league baseball game in Tampa a few weeks ago. I think it was Single A. I was visiting, and they are owned by the Yankees and play in the Yankees' spring training facility. They have a 15 second pitch clock. It appears to start as soon as the pitcher receives the ball, and it stops upon start of delivery (not pitch). There were a couple of times where the umpire called a ball because time had elapsed. I had never seen it before.

I grew up paying baseball and am kind of traditionalist. But I can't say that I watch much and understand them trying new things.

Wow, I didn't know that! I think my 45 seconds is overly generous - maybe 30 seconds? Maybe it will change MLB rules some day if it works? :crossfingers:

I grew up following the 1955-61 Yankees, and Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford were my heroes. Some of the games were only on the radio, if I could pick up a signal at night in Iowa. Never got to see a live game growing up.

Rodman has nowhere near the perimeter skills. He couldn't stay in front of KD if he tried.

It's not like KD is gonna be posting him up where Rodman would have a strength advantage

The Era is irrelevant. Even Steve Kerr said this last night "I'm glad I played 20 years ago, I couldn't play today".

Take the 96 bulls. Jordan would get the better of Klay but Durant would get the better of pippen so call that a wash.

Dramond would make Rodman irrelevant Bc he would take him away from the rim and rebounds. Lord knows he was a non factor on offense anyways. They stretch the floor better than any team ever and it’s not close so you have all that spacing that you can’t rebound then you’re stuck guarding Durant 1v1 and all game.

The warriors are maybe my most hated team I’ve ever seen so no bias here either

Rodman was better than Dramond ever thought. Pippen or Jordan could guard anyone on the floor including Durant. If we are talking about allowing hand checking, these Warriors would get killed. The ticky tack fouls wouldnt be called and guys like Steph and Durant would likely not last.

Kerr of Paxson could shoot the 3. Not like Klay and Steph but good enough.

And of course we come to the REAL GOAT. Who on the Warriors is going to guard Jordan? Answer? Nobody. People can try to hate on MJ all they want, but the fact is, he would take the Warriors to school.

Now in todays era, I would give the edge to the Warriors. Why? The game is much different now. Just like in most sports, the era you play in matters big time. Of course Kerr said something like that. Whats he supposed to say? Man we would have killed these guys? Come on.

KD may be the most uniquely skilled offensive player the league has ever seen.

Rodman wouldn’t be guarding him. There’s no way. Pippen is guarding Kd and Jordan is guarding Klay.

Dramond is way better at every single aspect of offense basketball. And he is a very good defender in his own right.

So if Dramond is Offensivly - B+ and Defense - B+
And Rodman is offensivly - D- and defense A+
