Tennessees staff has been out on the road recruiting during the spring evaluation period, seeing such targets as 5-star OT Darnell Wright, 5-star DE Zacch Pickens, 3-star WR Jacoby Pinckney, 4-star RB Sampson James (Ohio State commit) and 4-star DE Savion Jackson.
The staff also saw Battle, Daxton Hill and will spend Friday in parts of Tennessee.
Looking to upgrade the current roster, Tennessee is also working the grad transfer market specifically for two positions: offensive line and cornerback. Texas A&M transfer Nick Harvey will announce his transfer choice on May 11th. First, Harvey will visit either Florida or Oklahoma State for his final visit before making his decision. It will also be interesting to see if Notre Dame transfer Nick Watkins will have any interested in Tennessee. Watkins is a cornerback who Pruitt recruited a little bit when Watkins was coming out of high school in Dallas, Texas. As for the offensive line, were not sure who might be a factor there yet. Multiple sources tell Volquest that Georgia transfer Pat Allen is not an option and that Allen could very possibly transfer down.
Nonetheless, a grad transfer offensive linemen is a big time priority for Pruitt & Co.
