I read a pretty lengthy article awhile back explaining why Shaun of the Dead was one of the greatest screenplays of this era.

There's a brilliant scene in Shaun of the Dead where Nick Frost's character delivers a seemingly throwaway line about what he and Shaun should do with the rest of their night by rattling off the names of pubs and restaurants to hit up, and the entire monologue actually foreshadows all of the remaining events of the movie.

As far as movies go, has anyone here seen City of God? It's (was?) on Netflix. It's a Brazilian flick, based on a true story, chronicling a photojournalist's early life through the story of the Rio de Janeiro slums. Very robust storytelling-- "To tell you about this, I have to tell you about that" kinda thing. It's a long one, but I have to watch it at least once or twice a year.

That is probably my favorite foreign film ever made.

Sounds like we still have a shot at Belk, but where do we stand right now on the Center transfer from Bama? I saw a back and forth between Saban and Pruitt earlier in the week, but have to confess I haven't seen anything else...
THANKS

Anybody remember the story about Pruitt in the 2013 national title game against Auburn? Thought I remembered an FSU guy coming on here after we hired Pruitt and saying he was the reason they won that game. Something along the lines of Pruitt somehow found out that Auburn knew FSU's signals on defense and he changed up everything during half time. Auburn ran through FSU like doo doo through a goose in the first half and got totally shut down in the second half. Random question just curious if anyone remembered this.

Allman Brothers are outstanding as well, but they don't top Skynyrd in my book. I should have been alive in the 70's lol.

No offense to Skynyrd but when Duane Allman and Berry Oakley were still alive, the Allman Brothers were far superior to Skynyrd. Duane Allman was probably the greatest slide guitarist of his era. Clapton sure thought so.

The first time I watched “The List of Adrian Messenger” it blew my mind. It’s worth the time to watch. No spoilers. The ending is great!!
