Vols fans got wrapped up in the frustration of the season, going from 5-0, top-10, SECCG-destined, to Botch Jones' Champions of Life in three weeks. Hurd quit mid-year, and everyone was quick to blame him instead of Butch. I'm just glad we've all arrived at the amicable denouement where we're at worst indifferent to him.

He was fun to watch here. I think he'll be an absolute power at Baylor against Big-12 defenses.

I will never side with someone who quits midseason unless he is being physically or mentally harmed. You stick through it and deal with it after the season.

The ironic thing is that people criticize Butch for not using Kamara as much, yet Hurd was the one who transferred. If most fans really had their way, Hurd wouldn’t have gotten as many carries. Hindsight helps everyone with their opinions.

I think he under-performed his last season, but much of that was scheme. He was the recruit I was most excited about in many, many years. He made some tremendous plays here. I guess we all wish it had ended better. If we were to play Baylor, I would hope that he has very unproductive game.
