Its a big deal when the exchange is directly behind the center like 95% of plays. When you are under center you can do sweeps, toss, power, counters, etc where it changes. As a rusher you usually rush to a spot, if that spot never changes... it makes your job easier.

I obviously see the strategy of a stretch play, etc. but the term sounds pretentious and something i would join a class action lawsuit about, thats all.

I am sure there is more evidence other than testimony. So that will honestly be the kicker.

My thing is technically this case has been going on for a long time so by the time the ruling comes out, if he is found guilty, he may not have to do much jail time. It might be considered part of his time now to the sentence if he is found guilty. Not saying that is what will happen. But that is probably why his lawyer is stalling the case.

He has been out on bond. He isn’t getting jail credit. He could get 15-25 if convicted as charged.

The rec league in the county I am in had to cancel football this year. We have two of tha largest high schools in Tennessee in the county and the city high school is just as big. On the other hand, the city and county have put together two travel squads but only 11 can play at a time and the rec used to kave 6-8 teams in each division.

Travel baseball has killed rec ball in our community. Daddy ball essentially imo. There are honestly probably more "travel" teams then rec league teams. I refuse to let my kids play travel baseball. It's 10 months out of the year, 100+ games, and they're all 12u! By the time they get old enough to where being good matters, they're burn out!
Football is a diff story in WV tho. Just too many lazy kids. I switched my son to a diff team that plays in a smaller division with less competition, but it's better than sitting out.
He will be in 6th grade, junior high, but the BOE doesn't let 6th graders play. They can opt down for the 11-12 rec ball, but as mentioned, most can't field a team. It's sad!

i get it. see my post above for maybe a better explanation.

they want to be multiple and balanced. i think the "aggressiveness" will come from opportunities presented to do so.

he's also a defensive guy, so he knows the importance of keeping a defense fresh, and not having to play from behind, and HAVING to be aggressive to stay in a game.

I hope we’re balanced. I want us to be somewhat run heavy but not to the point of predictably on 1st and 2nd down.

When we pass I want to see creative route concepts that get people open and stress the defense.

Why are such a JG hater? Did he bang your girl or something, or was he dick to you sometime?

Did KC suddenly become a really good QB upon crossing the Califirnia state line?

I really don't get why you are so easy to give up on a talented kid with a lot more potential than KC? The difference in their personal QB stats despite being on massively different quality of teams and especially coaching is minimal, plus KC has had a lot longer to make his mark, and still washed out at Stanford despite despite going against less than the cream of the QB crop...

I just don't understand it. If you don't want to answer this I understand, but I'm curious so I will ask anyway..Is it personal? Do you just not like the guy for some reason? Because it kind of seems like it going back to before last year.

I am really not trying to be a jerk, im just curious. There was guy here who hated Bray for a personal reason..I can't remember his name...maybe midfielder or something like that.

It’s not like Chryst brings nothing to the table. He’s not the most consistent accuracy wise and not a guy who’s gonna win too many games with his arm, but but he’s shown he can do the small things right that JG struggled with last year. He’s pretty good in the pocket and avoiding pressure. He holds on to the ball and has the size to be difficult to bring down. JG had trouble just fielding snaps at times last year. Chryst is also a pretty good runner. Better than you’d assume for a guy as big as he is.

I’m hoping JG corrects those things and beats out Chryst, because I agree that he has more arm talent (though I think Chryst might have the stronger arm) and it would be good for us to carry as much continuity into 2019 as possible. But if It turns out that JG still struggles with all the things other than throwing the ball, then we’ve gotta go with Chryst, IMO.

As frustrating as it may be to watch a game manager like Chryst who defenses don’t have to respect too much, it will be better than watching someone who takes too many sacks and puts us in bad positions to continue drives.

Word is the new offense will be similar to what Coach Friend ran out at CSU. Here's a post from someone on VQ...

CSU operates a Pro-Style offense that utilizes up-tempo and no-huddle in order to create mismatches. Much of the decision making is placed on the QB to read and recognize where the weakness of a D is for a particular play and execute the appropriate play option. Tempo plays a big part by not allowing the D to sub and line up as you would against traditional two-back pro offenses.

There's a reason Keller Chryst is here and it isn't because of his superior athleticism.

It's also why they hired Joe Osovet.

This also makes sense as to why they want Tagovailoa so badly. He's perfect for that type of system. Smart, strong arm and can run very well.
