Maryland is a total clown show. They could have easily gotten this right 24 hours ago, inexplicably thought that it would go well in the public eye and result in a winning/profitable program, and at least faked outrage but they were too blind to see it, and now, same result with nothing to show except for your own split pants

This is exactly how it will be.

Unless he wins enough to remain through Saban’s Departure whenever that is, and Bama hires Pruitt who has built Tennessee to a 10 win team, but decides to go.

Regardless... it’s ominous and reminds me of when we were all laughing at USC not being able to replace Carroll, and then Kiffin is hitting the back door
But why would he leave Clemson in the first place? He built it into a successful program, and their fans love him. It will be almost impossible for anyone to please the AL fans after Saban. You think he just loves AL enough to risk it?

Maryland finally fired Durkin

Took the governor writing a letter to the board of trustees earlier today
Total BS right there. No I don't think he should've been reinstated, but you don't fire the man for the same crime your just found him innocent of. There's a little something called double jeopardy and Maryland better be ready because Durkin has a pretty strong case against them for it

They have already agreed to give him his full buyout.

SIAP..... idk why but I always figured CFA would be kind of disgruntled after the move to DB and all, but the kid is a consumate team player

Fils-Aime has played special teams this season and in his first two years at Tennessee he had 273 yards and four rushing touchdowns. Saturday night, Fils-Aime finished with three rushes for 20 yards including the 14-yard score after practicing a week in a new offense.

"Carlin can run, but he's not going to learn the offense in three days just like Jeremy (Banks) won't learn the defense,” Pruitt said on Monday. “We just found a couple of special plays that we felt fit his skill set and kind of went with them. He'll obviously get more reps this week and probably have a bigger role."

Fils-Aime admits he doesn't know what's next for him in Tyson Helton's offense. Right now, he's just trying to learn it.

“My next step would be just be prepared if I am called on again,” Fils-Aime said.

“Prepared to help anyway I can. If it's at running back or where ever. I just want to contribute and have fun with the boys. I will stay after practice with coach and do footwork stuff. I will go watch film with Jarrett going over the plays that coach has put in to make sure I know what to do if I am called to go in.”

It goes without saying that he believes he can help this team and that he showed the coaches Saturday night that he's capable of contributing.

“I would hope so,” Fils-Aime said. “As for now, I don't know. I am just in the process of working. Keeping my head down and do whatever coach wants me to do.

“Honestly, I just wanted to help anyway I could. I didn't know that I was going to get in or what was planned. I just know that I was ready for anything. They called me to go in.

“I was happy of course being able to contribute.”

I am getting the notion that the moves are to light a fire under them . Notice how he came back strong. I think it does something mentally that says you ain't good enough for this position, and when they get a chance to show renewed vigor, it shows.

hmmm... Interesting take. Like it. I've wondered what tactics a coach can try in order to attempt to change a person's habits and mindset. A move like this might just be jarring enough to get the players out of their heads and force them to have an epiphany.

I think Cruise is a very good actor. I agree that I don't care necessarily for some of the movies he has starred in, but I still appreciate his skills as an actor. He has shown his diverse acting chops in A Few Good Men, Rainman, Jerry McGuire, Born on the 4th of July, The Firm, The Color of Money, The Last Samurai, and a few others.

Interview w/ a Vampire and Far and Away. But, you are both right. His early career, pre-Scientology and pre-divorce (from Nicole Kidman), was excellent. Showed some great depth and developed iconic characters. Since around the time of Mission Impossible his career trajectory changed and his depth of portrayal started to become monotone.

This is the question that will be answered in the next few years... or months if the Browns call

Agreed, but despite the unrealistic things of the MI movies, I still appreciate a 50+ year old man that refuses NOT to do his own stunts. Crazy stunts, too. Cruise has to be in great shape and a pretty good athlete despite his diminutive size considering the stunts he pulls off in the MI movies and every other movie he stars in
