This is a case of the governor and student body appealing to the school to reverse their decision. Double jeopardy doesn’t really apply here. It’s an extrajudicial affair and they’re not firing him for cause. They’re totally within their right to fire him and pay out his contract.

They did do it in the most moronic way possible though.

Another reason why these Student athletes should be getting some type of compensation. I don’t want to bring this in every thread but man this coach is bananas and like this coach said he can end this kids career if he wanted to because he’s a BAMF. Let the market decide what these kids get paid and the colleges can stay out of it.

It’s disgusting to read him respond and try to cover his own tail. I understand anger, and I understand letting things slipped, but it’s so clear that’s exactly the type of person he tries to be, as he repeatedly beats his chest about how despicable a person he is.

Yeah, saying "dammit" or saying he "feels extorted" is a slip. He went all in off the deep end. Next thing you know he'll say he's been taking Ambien.

Read up on him. He's justified what he did/said. He's the CEO of that school, it's a private prepschool, so nothing will happen to him. Hopefully, no athletes will want to go there.

He probably does, but if he has any brains at all, he will just quietly go find a job somewhere else and let this one go.
