Still seems like a bad investment. Unless he's a HC or something next year somewhere and we're getting a nice buyout from it, it just seems desperate and incapable of identifying talented assistants and the value they bring.

Ask those players you named what they think of Butch. He took us 4-8. He did. Without Dobbs he would’ve never won a bowl game here imo.

He is in for the long haul.

He is tanking and trading for draft picks.

He is going to build a young roster of his players.

Not a bad move. Might even be tanking for Tua in year 2.
