It's posts like this that destroy any credibility you might otherwise have. I know that you likely don't care, but this type of post adds no value to the board and just reveals your bias. I realize that you are going to keep posting stuff like this because you think it gets under people's skins and that seems to motivate you for some reason. I am just posting to let you know that it does not bother me because it just reveals even more to others who you really are.

Whoever you are arguing with may actually be a robot / algorithm. That’s the only way I can comprehend a poster that stays on here for years making negative point after negative point and arguing incessantly. Most of us are here simply to keep up with the Vols and to have a fun diversion periodically during the day. I can’t imagine logging on here for hours each day to needle people endlessly.

I think you're just dealing with a generational issue. People of a certain age were raised in a time when homosexuality was equated with deviance and lack of masculinity. That ingrained way of thinking is not going to change for many of them. Eventually, their generation will be gone and you won't see gayness used as an insult.

See this is the whole problem. People take it personal with Butch and JG. People on this board can absolutely nuke players like Todd Kelly, Kongbo, the whole OL, Chryst, buchannon etc and no one bats an eye. But if I or anyone else thinks that JG isn’t that good it’s “ragging” the kid. I’ve said 100 times i love him as a person and he plays his arse off.i have even broken down and given visual breakdowns of things i think he does well and not so well. But at the end of all it. I just don’t think he’s a good QB. That’s not personal. There were a lot on this board who had the same opinion of dobbs for a long time on here.

Same thing with butch. The whole argument was if you are a crappy program like Maryland, and you aren’t a tn fan... i could get behind a hiring of butch. People want to act like he was the worst hire in sec history (Someone literally said that). When everything measurable like record, players recruited, players put in the league, bowl record etc. points to the fact that he’s really not that terrible... just failed miserably at TN at the end. Would i want him back at UT or another Elite program? Hell no. But if I’m Maryland, Rutgers, etc would i hire butch over say the OC at Kentucky.... yea i would think about it.

You’re argument is basically that so and so coach can only win when they have more talent than their opponents. That’s true for probably 98% of coaches.

Nah. I get pissed at ANYONE ragging the kids giving their all.

My argument is he's a below average coach at this level. He's better suited at a non power 5 school, where there's not much pressure, and everybody is cool with a bowl championship.

We'll see, because it looks like he'll be getting another shot somewhere. I think he'll lose more than he should rather than win more than he shouldn't, like he did here.

No one is expecting a national title at all but like 20 schools.
