SIAP, but this is a great read. There are some (**SOME**) clear parallels between Tuscaloosa in 2007 and Knoxville currently.

How Nick Saban revived Alabama
Wow. Great article. Definitely some similarities there. You can listen to Pruitt's words and actions and get that he's going to attempt to build the Tennessee program exactly the same way.

I will say this we've not proven to be a good enough 3 pt team to take as many as we do, especially in transition.

I love it when we get the ball movement to generate the look.... Just need to make more of them.... Cause we do get the looks...

I think that’s one of our only weaknesses. We don’t have many

Yep I don’t think we match up well with a thick body like Azubuike but him being in foul trouble was great for us.
Good point. Refs called that game tight. I think guys on both teams that play in the paint got affected by fouls.

But KU doesn't have another Azubuike on the roster, whereas we got Williams, admiral, Alexander, Walker, fulkerson... Lol

Vols looking better, but still not as good as last year. Damn what a block by Pons.
There were some tight games that shouldn’t have been last year...before inexplicable conference losses. At the same point, this has been a far more impressive season.

Schofield shot so well from 3 last year cause no one wanted to let him get near the paint. His game is in the post and that 15 foot jumper.

He's still a legit 3-pt shooter, he just doesn't need to forget that he is also very good around the basket. Last season he was a mismatch because if an opposing HC put a big man on him he could move outside, so if they brought in a small guy to guard him he could take it inside, I understand his need to continue to develop his 3-pt shot, that's his best chance at the NBA, but while he is still at UT he needs to remember that his game is best when he is balanced.

They just about refused to call that fifth foul on Azubuke. Had to knock down Grant before they called it.

Dominant first half. Great rebounding and assist numbers.

Just don't settle and take good shots.

Fun half to watch

Yep, feel like he's pressed at times this season.

I think they will be better, but look really out of sync offensively. Defensively the help has been good, but we're not recovering and swarming like last year. All very fixable things that can also be attributed to some rust to start the year.

You expecting the showtime Lakers on offense? If we maintain the level we have played on offense throughout the year, we will be legit contenders for a championship. After what we had to watch against Vanderbilt on the football field, enjoy this basketball team. Teams like this don’t come around that often.
