Yes it does.
Give him a two year deal and make the buyout astronomical. If he doesn’t like it then tell him to kick rocks.
UT is taking on all the liability in this deal. Either he agrees to our terms to give him a second chance or he finds another job. Simple as that.
He’s not worth compromising for financially - especially considering we’re already compromising morally.
I think this bears repeating.....Any of the legitimate choices (Freeze, Lindsey, Enos, Dinkwitz, Kitchens, etc.) are all really good options!
I agree with the idea @Kingston Vol seems to be moving toward and that is that UT is the one holding the leverage. If Freeze doesn't like the terms of the deal or whatever then that's ok, UT will go with another really good, experienced play-caller and OC.
And before anyone says "He will just go to Bama"....well if he does they will just keep doing to everyone what they already are doing AND he will probably only be THERE 1 or 2 years anyway.
With that said, the Freeze hire would be a homerun from a football standpoint and I would like to see it happen, but let's not act like he is the only legitimate candidate.
Those were some really fun times, I think I joined a little before the Georgia game however I can 100% say that I am happy gruden is not here today and I think with time Pruitt will get the job done recruiting is picking up with the staff being on the road and if he nails this OC hire watch out in 2-3 years!!I want to say this. If you followed the Gruden thread at all (I joined in Gruden II, very early on) it was made up of really good people. (At least as far as you can tell through a message board) The information wasn’t all stupid stuff like “big wigs at Olive Garden”. Atlanta Vol was extremely gracious and brought some great info and if I’m not mistaken, believed that Gruden was a real possibility. We all know how money he is with recruiting so there was no reason to doubt his info. Also, Boro gets killed on here but as far as I could tell he was a really good guy and happen to know some people as well. He never said it was done only that it looked possible. Then all of a sudden the beaver showed up and things got weird. As with any rumor, there will be some who are legitimate and others who are more like conspiracies at best. But either way, when you want to believe something, you’ll hold on to anything. Kinda like this hire. Lol.
But if you weren’t in those threads, you missed out on some of the best times ever and it didn’t matter if you believed or not. Tons of the best gifs you see came from there. Anyway, I checked out the FF thread about the “Vol Legend” and some of the Gruden guys are getting destroyed in there and I wanted to clarify. Carry on!![]()
Basilio doing emergency Periscope. Says Freeze very much in play, but people in upper echelon of University Administration are not on board.

No one is blocking the hire, it's completely up to Pruitt. If the upper administration is not on board, how is it possible that he's very much in play. He may want the job but that means nothing if he can't get past the powers that be at UT. We'll all know something soon enough. I've had my hopes dashed twice with the Gruden crap so I'm just gonna roll with whoever they trot out for the new OC. We'll get there pretty soon.

I think Pruitt will have more time with Fulmer as AD. JMOA lot of folks here think Priutt only has 2 to 3 years to prove himself and start winning, or he's out. That may be the case, and if so, why not take a chance on Freeze with the risk he get a HC position after a couple years. It's a risk I'd take to be successful. Pruitt knows how these things work. He'll pick the guy that's best for his success. Hopefully he's a risk taker, but there are other good options as well.
