No, he did not. His detractors keep repeating that though. The most he ever said was that it was possible, but he never gave it high confidence. He was also accused of vouching for Beaver, but all he did was confirm that Beaver correctly identified a bartender at a private golf club.

Nope..a lot of idiots got excited because he did confirm that another poster claiming to have inside knowledge was a member or frequent visitor of a golf club that AV was familiar with. He never said Gruden was coming. I don't think he ever confirmed anything about the Gruden rumors except that some big shots were trying to make it happen. I always thought he was kind of wet blanketing the thing with the info he personally brought.

No but he beat Alabama and Georgia. Nobody said we are getting a chubby here about Lindsey all I said was yes we beat them but they beat themselves more than we beat them. There is a difference. I do not care who we get as an oc, I just want to win and get UT back to what it should be not the shif show it is now. Name or no name do not give a crap.

Agree it’s so easy to get fed misinformation even by people on purpose or just were wrong too. Most of the stuff people here is like a game of telephone anyway. Anytime someone can shed a smidge of light on anything it’s cool. Everyone is wrong sometimes. Unless you’re jimmy hyams.
