I know LA as a poster and know that he is wrong about things sometimes. Also know he has some sources but just seems like he talks a lot like Hyams. It was a serious question and not one meant to batter anyone.

Which is also why i think it has taken so long. I think Pruitt and co have spoken with a lot of people in various roles and spots not only to get candidates but to also get Freeze and get a feel on any stuff surrounding him. You cannot hire him without being 99% sure that nothing else is going to come up. You know you’re gonna take some fire for what’s already happened but if that’s all then it will be over and forgotten in a week. But you don’t want February to roll around and more details of dirt come out about the ole miss situation.

I seem to recall that @Atlanta VOL didn't say that, but a lot of people claimed that he did, and that story never died.

FTR, I have nothing at all against AV, don't know the guy. But don't you and others come on here and try and tell all of us he had nothing to do with the Gruden mess. We all know he was involved in the rumors and flaming them from time to time. I had forgotten all that to be honest (never believed it for a second), but when you and others post he had nothing to do with that mess, I wasn't going to let that slide. Hope he is right this time, peace out.

My only opposition to the PR machine thing is that PR is used for any announcement. They are the group that writes the speeches and/or check for errors and ill received information. AV could have only meant it as the candidate has been chosen, signed and ready for an announcement, waiting on PR for the speech.

All that said I'll go with my gut and say its Freeze and that he has been the man for a few days. Everything was just being ironed out and PR is lining up all speeches and answers to questions that will be asked in the presser. They will want to shut down anything negative as quick as possible. The quicker the better for a PR stand point.... Man, I'm freezing!

From the media/beats It feels similar to the Schiano build up. Just slowly name dropping and hinting and nothing really else for any other candidates.

I suspect that there will be either smoke or an announcement made tomorrow or tuesday....just depends on how long it takes for them to wrap up the contractual items up and get the PR machine cranked up.
