price was on swain this morning and basically said aside from Nieds and Friend, anyone else could be let go on the offensive side of the ball. said those two were untouchable, not the case w/anyone esle.

Build a statue of Nieds, name a street after him, give him free eating at the Longhorn restaurant or build a restaurant with his name on it. Just keep him here. :po_O:D

Can we pick the worst possible staff for bonus points? Asking for a friend, and by friend, I mean Catbone.

Think with bringing in Chaney you throw the offensive continuity out the window a bit.

He’s a guy you bring in and let him run the show on that side of the ball as he sees fit. Though I would love to keep Friend and Yac.

Yeah, I have to think Pruitt will trust Chaney and his experience if he wants to mix it up a little. Chaney was winning the Big Ten as Purdue’s (!) OC when Pruitt was just in his third year as an assistant high school coach.

His time in Nashville is almost making him a closet Vols fan it seems

He's a pretty big fan. This is a pretty good read and well worth the time.

It is obvious that this needs to happen. I think more changes are warranted, but at a minimum guys shouldn’t be ejected for most of these hits.
Maybe 15% of the hits warranted an immediate ejection. Most of the time a guy goes low for the tackle and the ball carrier lowers to meet him. Really needs to be changed.

There are rumblings that things are not so good in Georgia right now.

I’ve heard that the coaching atmosphere is pretty toxic down there.

Expect more turnover with Coaches and transfers.

Was told that a couple of their signees are contemplating asking for a release.

This can only help with recruiting. We have an inside source in Chaney now. Pruitt will use this to our advantage to recruits

This is purely based on performance, taking into account off the field I'd probably not pick Jancek up.

HC - Pruitt
OC/QB - Chaney
OL - Friend
RB - Gillespie
WR - Johnson
SPT/TE - Niedermeyer

DC - Jancek
co-DC/ILBs - Sherrer
DL - Rocker
OLBs - Rumph
DBs - Fair

Ansley at DB and Frank Wilson at WR.

Oh and if this is fantasy definitely Pittman

Could not have picked a more perfect fit:

“I’m thrilled to announce Jim Chaney as our offensive coordinator,” Pruitt said. “Jim couldn’t be a better fit for our program at the University of Tennessee. His track record of success guiding offenses speaks for itself from his time at Purdue with Drew Brees to his time in the NFL and his success in the SEC at Georgia, Arkansas, and, of course, previously with the Vols.

“What most impresses me about Jim is his knowledge of the game and also the way he has adapted his offenses to his players’ strengths. He’s had years where he has guided one of the nation’s top passing offenses and years where his offenses have been near the top in rushing. He could coach every position on offense and is a true teacher of the game.

“Jim has proven to be a great mentor for young men, and I’m excited to have him here at Tennessee.”
