I'd hate to see Johnson go but if he and Weinke left and we added Tee and Pittman that's a big upgrade.

For sure - and it would seem like Pruitt is forcing them out. I’d heard he wasn’t happy with Weinke and Helton and that’s why both have been looking to leave.

Johnson would be strange because the WRs were fine but he was the only guy we hired last year who was an “outsider” to Pruitt.

In theory I supposed Friend could be RB coach and running game coordinator, Tee could be WR coach and pass game coordinator, then you bring Pittman in at whatever price it takes.

Somebody posted that we still need to drop 6 current guys by spring to get there. Look for more defections soon.

Yeah and we had 4 or 5 in the transfer pool...still don't know who declares either. I think 6 current guys will be gone by spring via transfer or draft. I would love to see Jennings back, but he's not here for school and I think if he feels he can get drafted at all he's gone. The risk for a major injury is scary, especially since he lost 1 season already. I think at 60+ reception and 1k yard season could help his stock, but is it a guarantee to happen and is it worth risking injury.

With his size if he runs 4.5s at a pro day or the combine he'll be drafted.

I get the positives of being athletic but I think if he could add some good weight he could do so without losing his athleticism. He gets pushed around on the low block quite a bit and hits the floor floor more often than I'd like to see. He's getting better playing away from the basket which he needs to to exploit his athleticism. Last night he had a few great plays away from the basket including a dribble drive for a slam which ain't easy for a guy his size.

I see that too. I think if he gets just a little better at positioning himself, then at least he can avoid getting pushed as much. The rebound numbers don’t lie though. He’s getting his.

Yeah I commented on this not too long ago, Grant is likely staying for a masters. Also he's done a lot of summer programs so I'm not 100% sure how much classwork he's knocked out. Still expect he'll have graduated with his BS this year.

Poster on VQ asked if its true that Friend is willing to split OL duties if Pruitt wants to bring on another OL coach. LWS confirmed that's true.

They're trying to get Pittman on board, going to be interesting...

I think Pruitt and Friend are just OG bros who are in it to win their way together. Hiring Pittman would free Friend up to do more associate head coach/recruiting/administrative things with Pruitt.

It is obvious that this needs to happen. I think more changes are warranted, but at a minimum guys shouldn’t be ejected for most of these hits.

I thought once this OC search was over I was going to be able to get some work done. However, now with Tee and Pitman both being talked about coming back it is even worse! I am checking this place even more. The only winner in this is Freak!! My work production will continue to be slowed until this is all over.

Hopefully, there is a break between finalizing the coaching staff and spring football.
