Seems like you'd make more with an unspoiled ending. Either way, I just hope he gets it out there, and here's hoping the next one is done as well.
I would almost guarantee you that he writes a different ending just to spite everyone. He is that big of a prick. He will end up pissing almost everyone off, and tarnish his legacy as a writer if he does it though.

I won't claim to know exactly, but everything I have heard has said he will make more in the MLB, and he will have a longer career with fewer injuries. Not surprised Clay Travis goes against the grain, because that's his MO.

If he is a position player, yes I would say injuries are much less likely but if he pitches (I don't think he is) his injury risk to his shoulder, or elbow is probably very similar. I haven't picked up a ball in terms of seriously throwing it since Juco (20 years ago) but there are many movements and stretches that I cannot do anymore without severe pain. It is just the nature of the unnatural arm movements that put a major strain on your joints. You don't have the high risk of head and neck injuries in baseball.

I may be in the minority with this opinion but there were a few plays in the Alabama game where his height was an issue in terms of making certain throws. That may be something he can overcome but I remember watching him thinking that NFL lineman are going to more than likely be taller on average than the lineman he was facing during the game. He may be able to overcome it by his pure athletic abilities but I could see a few teams weighing that issue during the draft. It will be interesting to see where he winds up getting drafted and how much his height played into it.
Brees, Wilson, and Mayfield seem to have "overcome" it.

I already miss OC talk. Now its Kyler Murray, football vs baseball, fantasy novel and morning show talk.

Has anyone seen a mock draft or 2019 QB board that has Murray ranked/listed on it as a pro football prospect? I haven't, but they are probably waiting until after he actually declares.

Clay Travis is correct if agree with his one big assumption - that Murray is a first round pick. He could get a guaranteed contract that was payable immediately versus an uncertain likelihood of success in MLB. That doesn't mean he'd be a better football player than a baseball player, it just means that IF he got drafted that high, he'd cash in immediately.

I may be just living in the past, but I still have a hard time believing that someone his size is going to be a 1st round pick in the NFL. Of course, in a league that is now hiring failed mid-tier Big 12 coaches to be head coaches of a franchise, I guess nobody knows anything anymore. For goodness sakes, the guy only played one full year in college as a starter, behind a terrific o-line that kept him very clean. Even if he tries to avoid contact (which he definitely tries to do), he's going to get hit in the pocket in the NFL, probably several times a game, which almost never happened to him this year at OU. I just can't see him withstanding the punishment of a 16 game season.

Most stories that went along with his declaration for the draft last night said he is widely thought of by the NFL as a 1st round QB.

The whole thing with baseball is it’s about getting to that big contract. I went through the minor league grind. It’s misreable and i made about 2000$ a month like a lot of other players do. If Kyler makes it to the mlb after 5 years then he can get a longer contract but baseball contracts are are getting smaller and shorter. The whole not getting injured thing is just stupid too. One labrum injury and it can derail your entire career.

I would play football if i was Kyler Bc you’re getting more exposure, money, endorsements, etc up front and it’s less of a gamble.

I am not sure how true it is but I have heard a few scouts say that he is closer to 5'8 or 5'9 than 5'11. If I am not mistaken, Wilson and Mayfield are 6'ish as well as Drew Brees. Not saying he can't by any stretch of the imagination but three or four inches of difference in height is significant.

Yeah, Flutie is probably the best comp for Murray, he's the only NFL QB I can think of that was sub-5'10"

I guess he had a decent NFL career.

The thing is Kyler Murray is legit 3 inches shorter than baker. He’s really small.
Too much emphasis is put on size these days at the QB spot. Offenses are changing that spread the field way out and it creates huge throwing lanes and the smaller guys are usually very mobile. So what they create with the movement makes up for the size, imo.
