And you know as well as I do being a top 10 pick in the MLB doesn’t guarantee you ever see the big leagues.
This. Less than 50% of 1st round picks ever play in the MLB. If he goes anywhere in the 1st round of football he should take it cause he is guaranteed more money and chances to play. He also wasn't even an all American in baseball in college. Had way more success in football. And there's already rumors that the cards are gonna trade rosen and draft him first. Hahaha. I doubt that's gonna happen but Adam schefter is the one spreading them. Hahaha

Unless they are willing to offer him a MLB contract for what he could potentially make with a NFL rookie deal...........................................and that aint happening. Maybe if he were drafted by the Yankees or a organization not named the Oakland Athletics

Edit: I say that aint happening, but who knows what could happen......just unlikely :)
He wouldn't last 2 years in the nfl imo. His chances of making money for longer than a rookie contract are better in the MLB, I think. I just don't see an NFL team drafting a 5'9 QB high enough for him to get a large enough rookie contract to make up for having to pay back 5 million to Oakland and still come out with more money at the end of his sports career.

Don’t know of any baseball players that did well after putting it off...seen plenty of the reverse. You don’t play baseball and your skills regress.
Tebow looks like he's gonna get to the league this year supposedly.

He has to pay Oakland 5 million if he goes to the NFL. And he focused on football in college, that's why he wasn't an all American. The guy is 5'9 at best, no way he survives the NFL. He's an elite athlete, he'd be just fine in the MLB where short guys are the norm.

Where are you getting the less than 50% from because that's not true. It's actually like 66% and been rising. Not to mention that's not even for top picks which I'm sure is higher.

2/3 of all first rounders get to tje big leagues but that isn't what's important in this case.

When they first get to the big leagues the only make the league minimum so in this case he would have to play in the bigs long enough and well enough to make big $ on his first real contract

Heather is a good start, but Tyler is the worst. I thought the morning show couldn't get any worse when they sent Mickey packing, but Tyler's voice is like nails scratching against a chalkboard.

At least he has some sports knowledge. Heather has zero and its either hearing about her stupid kids or how she isnt a fan of Lebron. Yeesh.

His initial contract was $5 mil but if he is playing with the big boys immediately there could be a revision to his contract for more money
He won't get to the league immediately and in baseball you don't get to get a big contract til you play in the bigs for 4 or 5 years. Aaron Judge made $622k last year and I believe has one more year before he can sign a big contract. If you succeed in MLB and play long enough you can make more money. But getting drafted 1st round in NFL guarantees you so much more money for the first 5 years that financially he'd be taking a huge risk to play baseball.

Dan Patrick is great too. Local sports radio is so hit or miss, it's crazy how bad it can be.

The Dan Patrick Show is high quality and a great listen for later in the morning. And even though he does have shows where he mails it in, Jim Rome is still a fun listen for the afternoon. Nothing compares to the 90s and the Jungle, but Rome's callers still are what carry the show. That and horse racing intel.

The bottom line is the As we're complete idiots for allowing him to play football
Agreed. But with baseball’s draft rules, it was either accept it or write off a first round pick. They definitely shouldn’t have given him a dime of that $4.6 million until he showed at camp.

If he goes first round it's still worth it financially even paying back the 4.5 mil

70 mil now or 100 mil in 5 years... I know what I'm choosing

Big difference in slot tho. Murray’s a 9th overall, Judge was a compensation first rounder...32nd overall.
