Me too I don't think our defense will get us there though. 34th in the country after Auburn game.

Auburn is one of those teams that gets hot on threes and just eats you up. I'm not surprised it dropped our defensive ranking. We've only defended the three well once this season and that was against UK at TBA. Depending on our draw we can have a great run.

My best guess: (assuming UM holds on)

1 seeds - Duke, Virginia, UNC, Gonzaga
2 seeds - MSU, Vols, Kentucky, Michigan

Think auburn may be a 4

Just so disappointing to have everything to play for today, including revenge, and we don’t even show up. If we can’t handle that environment, there’s no way we can handle the environment of a Final Four.

I agree it's disappointing, but I'm not surprised at all. As I said last night, I was concerned they wouldn't have anything left in the tank after yesterday. Think about it...UK, rubber match, very tough hard-fought emotional game, quick turn around with ours being the late game and this one an early game, very understandable that at least subconsciously they felt like that was the championship game, also understandable that at least subconsciously they felt like the first game with AU was a fluke, AU is a very good team that's a tough match-up for us. And did I say UK?

Again, it's very disappointing, but not at all surprising. Even though I think we're the best team in the SEC, I didn't feel good about this game under the circumstances. But it also doesn't make me any less excited about our chances for a long NCAA run.

Exactly its all about matchups. We seem to struggle against smaller quick teams and do well against bigger slower teams

Texas's performance now has nothing to do with the fact that Barnes underachieves in tournaments and in big games.

This reminds me so much of the whining about CPF back in the day. To some, the only games that are considered "big games" are those he loses. CPF won plenty of big games, but he also lost some and those were the only ones some fans wanted to talk about. For CRB I guess UK, nor any other game he wins, is considered a big game.

Hopefully, our guys understand that this is their last shot together to do something big and come into the tourney locked and loaded. They are capable but our team requires all of our guys to be in sync. It's amazing when they are but frustrating when we aren't but we don't have a star big enough to simply carry the team. We need every single player from our best seven to contribute and play well.

I didn't see any lack of coaching or the team "not wanting it" today. I saw the same things we've dealt with all season, win or lose.
1. The full court press/Intense defense. We just struggle when opponents prioritize D. Become a turnover machine.

2 and 3. We shot ice cold, they're a 3 point team that was hot.

We face each of these at times and overcome but it's usually just one or two of these..
All 3 and we get our butts kicked.

Nothing wrong with our team or coach, we just had the trifecta of our biggest issues. *imo.
