I think the TN at FL matchup between offensive and defensive philosophies is going to be interesting this year. Last year we surrendered 24 points off of turnovers to Florida and gave them a safety which coincidentally exactly matched their margin of victory. In their respective roles, the masterminds of each side of the line of scrimmage for these two teams have a history of competing against each other over the course of their careers. Will we be far enough along in our rebuild to handle the swamp this year? Who will come out on top?

I saw a team that was spent emotionally. No energy or intensity. Coach can't put that in ya.

It’s virtually impossible to follow up a win like Kentucky with a great performance. That doesn’t mean we couldn’t have beat auburn but after a game like Kentucky... a team usually always plays its “B” game, at best. Auburn was just red hot and took advantage.

I hate more than anything “they just wanted it more” or “we didn’t compete”. That’s just silly to me.

Story time:

10 minutes ago, my wife reviewed my ten year old’s assignment on football. She said he did not do a good job, and that I wouldn’t like it. She passed it to me. After reading his comprehension of the game, which was fair, there was a prediction section.

He began with, “I predict Alabama will win again...” at which point, I tossed the assignment over my shoulder behind the sofa, arose from the TV show I was watching, picked up my keys and drove off on my motorcycle.

This was the correct response, right? Asking for... um... a friend

This is the correct response. Followed by a spanking and a grounding for at least a month. There also must be a writing of “I hate Alabama” 500 times. Only after this has their been sufficient punishment. Then, he should be forced to wear Vol gear every day for a month while rewatching the 2016 Fl game and highlights of old Bama victories during that time period. He must be reconditioned or I fear it’s too late for him

My brother who lives in Murfreesboro went yesterday. Bought tickets, paid $400 for three I think. Went to go in and they turned out to be counterfeit. They went on back home. Two if his son's went back today to try again. They were too high but they happened to see the guy that ripped them off. They went and alerted a cop and the guy was arrested. While searching him they found some legitimate tickets in his pocket. The cops gave them to my nephews.

Hey @Smokey123 and @VolGee4 Sorry for being such a dick to you guys during the game today.

Go Vols, let's hang this banner.

It’s cool. I know it was frustrating. I had driven 3 hours and was sitting at a restaurant. I know folks have been critical, but we know these guys want to win. They just played poorly. Let’s get some wins in the NCAAT.

Still stunned that happened, right after Auburn best them a week ago. Bruce truly has their number. I thought there was no way Tennessee would get out of their game and lose this. Really inexplicable and the “letdown” for a championship game defies all reason. Gird up your loins and bring the banner home.

My girlfriend and I went Saturday to try and scalp tickets for the Kentucky game and a couple guys were selling for $1000 a piece. We ended up going to Tin Roof and watching. After the game we just walked next to the arena and ended up getting tickets for $60 a piece mid court in the 300's.
You can asked the scalper if you can take the tickets to the box office to verify them. That's usually a tell on if they're legit or not and the tourney tickets had a watermark as well. Hate to hear they got counterfeits.

Yesterday was a big disappointment. SECTournament championship game and we play maybe our worst game of the year. Yes UK was a huge game, but not showing up for a Championship game is inexcusable.

Gotta get over it though. Time for the Big Dance. Let’s go make a run and show people why we were rank #1 for longer than anyone else this year.

Some people are saying there was a party in the hotel room? Is this true or fans starting rumors? Enquiring minds want to know.

I'm sure this has been covered but please indulge me for a min, have we always had this big gap in Spring practice dates? If so what is the purpose? Been a long while since I was in college, maybe it's spring break.

The lack of rest was a factor If the "4 games/70 hours versus 3 games/30 hours" is correct. Add in the lack of quality depth to overcome it. It was also a match-up problem. When Auburn is on they don't make normal 3's, they make downtown 3's. They use mobile big men to rebound and tip out to the perimeter. Auburn will lose to teams that look more like them when the 3's are not going in as easily and the rebounding is not there. Hence them having 9 losses for the year.

None of that matters now. 4 complete days to recover and playing only 2 games per week with a reasonably good path to the FF. Which for me is the only thing that matters. FF or bust.

I posted last night that many of their threes were contested. Grant had a hand up on three of them. Let’s see how far Auburn goes. Let’s move on and win.
