Just recruit Ohtani level players...sumbuddy’s an effin genius!
Don’t necessarily disagree with the last part as a NL guy...never going to happen as long as unions are legal. As for the first part? In the high school ranks, your pitcher is usually your best athlete in that small pool. They get chunkier and slower in comparison to the patrons in the bigger pool. There’s a reason that Ohtani is the exception...not the rule. Pitching development requires near obsession level attention and exclusivity. Worrying about your batting average cuts into that. Now for the purposes of college level...a little more chance. But it’s becoming more and more a part of your baseball future (if you have professional aspirations) to mimic that process.A lot of the guys in the league were phenomenal two way guys in high school and/or college. If teams didn’t have 35 players and 11 pitchers to get 2 outs then players would be forced to do it and i would love it.
Also DH is stupid. Pitchers need to hit.
I agree with this. It drives me crazy and I LOVE baseball. It's all analytics. If you made a pitcher throw to a minimum number of batters or limited the number of changes within an inning or 2 inning time frame it would help.Part of it. I don’t want to see 3 pitching changes in the 8th inning for a couple lefty specialists
New England Patriots: Former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo, will be the Patriots new linebackers coach, according to Tom E. Curran. Mayo retired in 2016 after a nine-year career in the NFL – all with the Patriots – and spent the last few seasons out of football.
