I'm a little fuzzy on the rules of shooting contact, but is it still considered a penalty if the contact occurred after the shot is off?

Not sure if it’s been answered but it’s considered “the act of shooting” till feet hit the ground.

Not how we played back in the day though. Incidental contact after the ball left the hand was nothing. It’s not like a late hit on a QB or something

I believe he kicked out but I can live with saying it could be a foul.
But the shot was already gone and you just don't call a non factor "iffy" when it decides the outcome.
You just don't.

That’s the best point of the night.

Even if it was a foul, which I technically agree with, (offensive player forced the contact) it absolutely did not alter the shot in any way, only a “threat” to the player

Do not ever call that in a final shot

Well the thing about Schools like Duke and UNC and UV is that all they got is Basketball. We are about to see UT come back to the top in the next few years and have Basketball right behind it. I do wish they would improve on the golf team. I know you guys are going to laugh but I think it would be cool to start seeing more UT grads on the PGA Tour. Of course I am a Golf Addict.

There is a decently well known pro shop guy that posts on 247. Been in golf magazine yadda yadda. Anyway, his brother was up for the UT job when we went with the other guy. I don't follow college golf, but after reading him I realized we got a dang good coach. Success to come there imo.

They hit hip to hip. It's pretty clear it was a foul. It simply was. Lamonte made a great effort play and just went an inch too far. That's basketball. An excruciating game of inches. But if we shoot over 50% FTs we're never in that spot. We lost to a really good team on a night 1 guy went insane. That's what stinks about 1-loss tournaments. No shame there. Love those guys.
