Why are you getting upset over someone predicting success for one of our players?

Just because I am not agreeing with someone calling one of our players a future first round draft pick after one average season doesn't mean I am getting upset, LOL. This is a discussion board where things are debated. Not everyone agrees with each other. You may want to go somewhere else if you think we are all supposed to agree, hold hands, and sing songs.

Auburn winning it all only benefits Auburn, and they've been a thorn in our side since Pearl took over.
The more top players he gets, the more the FBI will be snooping around. He will have to be a good boy. We know our baskeball is above reproach so we don't have to worry about any of that.

Both are good. I think Thompson is better in run support but alontae is a pure cover corner
Thompson had no idea what he was doing AND didn’t arrive until well in the Summer. Had a comparable or better season. Narratives are open season on these two.

I used to read every practice nugget. But after years of showing these clowns have no idea what they are talking about, I dont even stop my scrolling for them.

It's all in how you read the reports.

So I read that the offensive line run blocking has apparently improved quite a bit, at least against our defensive front seven this spring. The takeaway seems to be that the combination of either Banks or Chandler with our OLine is a strength of our offense. Both of those running backs have flashed in the past. I’m assuming the defense didn’t have any trouble shutting down the other running backs. I can’t say that I'm really all that surprised.

Pass protection seems to have improved but so has our pass rush. Both quarterbacks may be erring on the side of adding aggressiveness, trying to make plays. One might argue that could work out better than being too timid to even attempt to make a play.

When the team is playing against itself it’s difficult to read a lot into the observations of non-football types. It’ll be interesting to hear Pruitt’s assessment on Tuesday after practice. My guess is he’s going to find something, anything really, to be unsatisfied with. I sort of like that about him.

Given the praise for our safeties and cornerbacks, I’m wondering who Guarantano was burning with touchdown passes.

I was a bit surprised in not seeing Jahmir Johnson’s name mentioned with the offensive linemen but he could be banged up. Or it could be that we’re using the precious few reps available to get Morris up to speed. Given that we need 3 centers going into the season I’m not surprised to see Carvin getting reps in that role. Maybe the reason Ryan is on his left is to help him with the calls. After all, from all the practice reports I’ve ever seen Carvin has only ever had 2 practices where he was in the center on the line. Talk about trial by fire. I guess we all know what Carvin will be doing with any free time this summer.

I think the best way to read practice reports in the spring and early fall is to remember that it's all about developing players and building depth. I fully understand that we're not really used to that around here so one has to be a bit forgiving toward members of the reporting class. They may have never seen this stuff before. jmo.

I know coaches will keep going after one and dones, but it’s clear that (for the most part) the path to success is to recruit top 50/75 players who stay at least 2+ years. Duke and UK have each done it once with help from experienced players. But teams dominated by one and dones aren’t winning many championships.

Tons to show for. Pride in the program. Pride in great young men. A full arena. I would take this outcome every single year.

So you would be happy with getting destroyed every single season in the SEC tourney and losing to inferior teams in the big dance as long as we have a full areana and pride?

Win enough every season to qualify for the tourney. Only way to go for the championships.

I'm not saying you have to agree, I just think it's weird to go out of your way to try and prove that one of your own isn't that good.

Bro, someone was saying a certain player was a future first-round draft pick after one season. I don't agree and I am giving him my opinion... If you bothered to read my entire response I said I hoped he and others balled out and ended up actually being that good, but at this point with the evidence I've seen, I don't agree... that's it. He doesn't have to agree... that's it... Move.On.

I'm not sure if you can't differentiate between being a known, convicted cheater vs one that is speculation or what. Plus, I've not seen any evidence that Pruitt has cheated or not. You have to make the assumption that Pruitt is cheating just because he has recruited well. Also, his recruiting has been decent but it isn't like he's recruiting well enough to draw suspicion.

Bruce is a convicted cheater and he's caught up in another cheating scandal.
Because you already believe the 3 I used as an example are cheaters. So it doesn’t matter to you if they’ve got caught or not. Not sure why you keep bringing up getting caught when it clearly has no effect on your opinion
