Standard procedure for 60 and older. Many pharmacists are authorized to give if there is a prescription from the MD. Yes - I've had the vaccine.

I have a brother-in-law that's had the shingles twice. It was awful.

Yes it is. The immune systems of people tend to wane as they get older. However, shingles can occur in younger people. Children as young as 7-8 years old have had shingles. With the shortage of the new vaccine, I guess that recommendation for use in people less than 50-60 will not happen for a a few years.

Great news for me, my wife and daughter, there is a very great chance I’m moving back to the South (North Georgia) in June. I will be able to take my daughter to her first ever game in Neyland Stadium (she watches all the games on TV with me) and I will once again get to see It’s Football Time in Tennessee live. I’m so excited.

Because, I’ve never had chicken pox.

It’s a virus that lays dormant in your body and if you’ve had chicken pox, it can rear it’s ugly head at anytime.
