You schedule it...you play it. Win by less than 50 over Austin Peay equals 20+ loss to the Sooners in my experience.
To our fans it does, I never felt that way. Sometimes teams don't get up for small games. Clemson's close games weren't held against them for sure but you're right, ours would be.

As far as playing, I wasn't suggesting backing out lol.
Don't think Jake did either.

Only speaking for myself. Most depressing game of 16 was the UMass game. Knew Butch was done afterwards...UGA blowout was anticlimax. We schedule enough cupcakes.

In TN at least, you don't have to pay traffic cam speeding tickets. The speeding law specifically states an officer has to witness the infraction in person.

They just rely on people not being aware of the law and paying out of fear. One of our congressmen has a YouTube video telling people to rip them up. He did his on the video lol.

Are we sure it has to be in person or just viewed in some way? Clarksville paper wrote an article on this:

"Per state law, those violations must be validated by a sworn officer of the law.
CPD Lt. Vincent Lewis, traffic unit commander, says that's exactly what happens.
"The No. 1 misconception is that Redflex is issuing a citation," he said. "Every single video has to be reviewed and validated by a sworn police officer."

As Lewis points out, if there are any questions about the violation — due to a blurry camera image, bad weather, the plates not matching up or any number of other reasons — the citation is voided."

On the other hand, they go on to basically say there is rarely any consequence to non-payment. Going to collections seems like the only possibility.

Very odd. A citation they really don't care about enforcing.

no, definitley not. just if i had my druthers.......

the only thing that game provides is an enormous opportunity. we all immediately think it's another L to go with Bama and GA.

but until it's over, there's the angle of "what if we won it?"....the Loss wouldn't really do much good or bad.

but a win..........way more upside.

so i guess in the grand scheme, it's relatively speaking a low risk venture...with a very high potential for big returns.

2 years out...who wants to buy some stock?

Agree, but not what I meant. We sucked in basically every game. I meant playing well the rest of the games and showing up lathargic for a cupcake..like Clemson did.

Don't want more cupcakes, or any for that matter. I like playing teams on our level and exciting games. The middle of the 2 extremes.

Now, if we're on Oklahoma's level next year, I'll gladly say how wrong I was about scheduling them again. Heck, I'll be so happy, I'll say it a dozen times.

That’s the thing I am holding onto. Dad was recently diagnosed, and the decline has been quick. Have another round of appointments later this month with the neurologist. Not sure what all is ahead for him and us, but I’m hanging onto the fact that I still get to hug him and tell him I love him.

I know it’s sad but when you reach a certain point in your life.... either your body fails you or your mind fails you.... it is much better to be your loved one and have their mind fail than have their body fail while they are cognitively aware of what is happening to them.

Don't know, repeating the congressman. I've never had a camera ticket. Only had 1 speeding ticket, Pigeon Forge.
Bit of a speed trap but can't complain, got away with a lot more than the 1 iffy one.
