It's got some story elements but overall it's what I'd call a "hack/slash action RPG" game. The mod folks putting in GoT really made it awesome though, the combat system is simple and yields itself to the ASOIAF story well. You essentially start as a lowly soldier and can work your way up to Lordship and even pursue the Iron Throne yourself.

Most battles happen with each side charging the other (horseback if you have one). Not sure I'd outright recommend the game, but with the mod if you're a GoT fan I think you'll get into it. They paid great attention to detail and even put in some of the legendary weapons the books mention.
If I can’t wield Dawn as Ser Arthur Dayne, I got no use for it!

Are we sure it has to be in person or just viewed in some way? Clarksville paper wrote an article on this:

"Per state law, those violations must be validated by a sworn officer of the law.
CPD Lt. Vincent Lewis, traffic unit commander, says that's exactly what happens.
"The No. 1 misconception is that Redflex is issuing a citation," he said. "Every single video has to be reviewed and validated by a sworn police officer."

As Lewis points out, if there are any questions about the violation — due to a blurry camera image, bad weather, the plates not matching up or any number of other reasons — the citation is voided."

On the other hand, they go on to basically say there is rarely any consequence to non-payment. Going to collections seems like the only possibility.

Very odd. A citation they really don't care about enforcing.

State statute says that citations issued by a camera cannot be put on a driver's history. They are used for money and deterrence. The suburb of Memphis that I live in used to have them at several major intersections, and it apparently reduced the number of accidents by quite a bit.

As an attorney, the ones I have seen is when it's quite obvious that the vehicle ran a red light. However, it's tough to prove who was actually driving the vehicle. Other than getting collection letters, there really aren't any ramifications for non-payment.

Early yesterday I refreshed my understanding of the various stages of grief in anticipation of observing how the saga in Gainesville would play out. Obviously in the wee hours of the morning before the official news of Steele entering the transfer portal broke, denial was widespread in Gator nation. Then after the rumors were confirmed a few moved quickly into the anger phase. Some were angry at the staff, some were angry at Steele, and some just became angry with each other.

In the 5 stages of grief model the stages don’t really have to happen in any particular order so I wasn’t really surprised when I saw a few people advance rather quickly to the bargaining phase. Steele is in the transfer portal so he’s like not gone gone, at least not yet. Maybe Mullen can get him back. That sort of thing. Of course that never works but you can’t tell people that when they’re grasping for something positive to hold on to. So we have depression and acceptance yet to witness. I figured with all the decommits we’d have at least some depression by now but it’s still mostly anger and bargaining with a few still stuck in denial. Anyway, I afraid these people have a ways to go yet before they get to acceptance.

Please understand I am only conducting these observations of the meltdown of Gator football out of purely scientific curiosity.

Of course

Really good article in the Athletic about the Steele transfer. One bit I didn't expect is they said with that transfer that Florida doesn't have a single 5 star on their roster. And each of the last 3 years they've lost one of their highest rated recruits before even playing a game.

Spurrier's famous words about UGA coming back to haunt his alma mater -- priceless.

I've been lucky, actually (apart from the red light cameras). I did get one not too long ago though for rolling through a stop sign, which was ridiculous.

Aha! That’s why you set the whole Barnes-UCLA thing into motion. Needed a few extra clicks to pay off that ticket.

Very clever, Frank. Credit where due.

Agree, but not what I meant. We sucked in basically every game. I meant playing well the rest of the games and showing up lathargic for a cupcake..like Clemson did.

Don't want more cupcakes, or any for that matter. I like playing teams on our level and exciting games. The middle of the 2 extremes.

Now, if we're on Oklahoma's level next year, I'll gladly say how wrong I was about scheduling them again. Heck, I'll be so happy, I'll say it a dozen times.

Really hoping OU loses Riley to the NFL and hires some defensive head coach. That offense will probably rip us to shreds if he is still there.
