At some point superior coaching has to yield real results for us. For some players it already has, for others it must seem like talking to a brick wall for the staff.

I wasn’t trying to accuse you of saying that. Just pointed out that everyone (by everyone I mean talking heads mostly) thought they looked great after 2 games last year too but they were the same ole candy.

I sort of agree, and I know you weren't accusing me of that. I do know what good fundamental football looks like though. They manhandled Nevada along both lines of scrimmage, like we SHOULD have manhandled ETSU.

Vandy is a solid football team. Mason may not sound like much, but he is a good teacher. Which is exactly what we heard he was when he was hired. Vandy will never recruit great, but they can still play solid football, and will as long as Mason is there.

Of course they will still get waxed whenever they play well coached, highly talented teams. They should hang on to Mason, he isn't exciting, but he is a good football coach.

Was about to come post this. Bob tried to give him a layup easy compliment and he wouldn’t do it.

All that matters is winning - I KNOW THAT - but he’s not building any good-will if it goes south.

Weird that he won’t take the layups.

And people say I gripe a lot..at least when I do it is about something that matters and not this stupid horsecrap. The man is blunt...I like it. I like that he does not mush mouth around.
