How does that happen in a season opener

Total guess, but top-down. We seemed lackadaisacal like we were just there to get an easy W and it started from the booth. Played for FGs, played to run the clock out, etc. Like commentators said, no urgency and that comes from the coaches too.

It’s funny how things are even worse than I ever imagined. We lost to a high school squad today. This program is a complete joke.

Are the coaches even trying? UT is where you go to draw a fat paycheck for abysmal performance and a big buyout when you tank.

Anybody calling for Pruitts head is ignorant. You look at our roster and you see we have depth issues that are really being ignored right now. You look at the play calling and you see how many bad reads was made. You watch the defense and you see guys not lining up right or giving any effort. That’s not a coaching problem. We played a ugly game and we lost. Hell, Middle Tennessee is up on Michigan 7-3. These games don’t dictate the season. Next week will tell me what we have and if our coaches will live up to expectations. Coming off a loss like that you wanna dominate the game from kickoff till the end of the fourth. I defiantly believe that it will happen. The sun will come up tomorrow & we will all be on here complaining. I know as a whole this team isn’t that bad. I know for a fact that it will look better next week. Go Vols and Go big orange.

I'm definitely not a football coach, but I will say it often bothers me when Pruitt says that guys are being switched around to learn different positions. I think maybe guys should learn one position really well, and then if there is an injury figure it out.

It all starts at the top man. The team will take on the same personality of the head man. Did you see how uninterested Pruitt looked on the sidelines today? The Georgia St coach was all fire and basically soaked with sweat from coaching his ass off today. Pruitt in post game was like, “the sun will come up tomorrow Bob.” Are you freaking kidding me dude, you should be apologizing for that crap!?

Pruitt sounds so tranquilized half the time. I seriously wonder if he's medicated. He was a fiery dude as a DC and even most of last year.

There just isn't parity like there used to be. Not an excuse, but you gotta come out 100% every game and we came out like we were scrimmaging for BYU today. Maybe a lesson we needed to learn right now. This was never a championship season, learn now, take our licks, and make sure it never happens again.

Btw, There was quiet a few games today that went to the wire. The most progress is made from week one to week two.
