For the record, I was all for Fulmer being let go in 2008; I was completely against ever bringing him back in all of our coaching searches, except the last one after Schianomo; I am all for him taking over and trying to make all the wrongs right. I think he’s about the only one who could resurrect this thing from its current state. He would provide a huge shot of energy to the program and would be able to motivate these players.

So, he can’t be friends with them? I’m normally the first person to say that one game doesn’t affect a recruitment but it does if the HC is telling the recruits to watch them this year to show how much they’ve improved. Telling kids they will be 9-3 and they are going in the right direction, you can’t do what you did Saturday. UT killed their momentum.

Lots of big fish are swimming testing the line and waiting to see what TN does this year, Gilbert included. Up to Pruitt to show progress on the field, that was the very opposite. If that loss happened in year 3 or later for any coach, they are fired.

That said, Pruitt now has to have a wow game, has to upset one of the big games to swing it back but has to pound BYU this weekend. They lost by 20 last week, needs to be similar or worst this week for them for Pruitt to crawl out of the ditch he just fell in. Saturday literally was the only thing he couldn’t do because he had some trending UT’s way.
Pruitt was selling this team to go 9-3?

More like he was saying (and we know this from what he told recruits this cycle) that they are very behind and need “real dogs” because there just aren’t any on the roster right now. Look how many FR and SO are having to play right now.

I’d rather lose with a guy who cares and tries to lead than with JG who will lose and defend himself as tho he played great.

Come on man. He never gave any hint that he thinks he played great. And you know it. These are the kinds of comments that get everybody here at each other. Facts are one thing. Honest opinions are great. But blatant lies do no good in helping those of us who care to understand what's really going on. Just like searching through the hundreds of player quotes from around the nation to find the one that fits our agenda, then posting it here like that somehow proves a point.

Done with rant.

I’ll be honest I expected to come out of halftime with some adjustments and beat the hell out of Ga State. Most uninterested I’ve seen this team in playing football. We may be in for a disappointment against BYU. Got to distance myself emotionally a little on this one bc I’ll be at this one with my youngest son. Don’t want to ruin the experience if it goes south.
I don't know why it is, but when I am actually at the games I don't get near as upset. I've been that way most of my adulthood. I can be a madman watching it on television though, as I was this past Saturday. My wife just got the hell out of dodge.

I don’t tweet to players and I think it’s cringy when people do. But I have no problem with VOL twitter blowing him up right now. Hopefully someone will pull him to the side and straighten him out.
Yeah. He’s young and probably frustrated about being sick and underweight after all the hard offseason work. He didn’t even dress Saturday. Not a smart move on his part to make that tweet but it’s a teachable moment.

Prepare to lose by 4TDs if Mauer or Shrout plays
The season is lost, sorry bro, gotta accept it. This will forever be the team that lost to GAst (top 3 loss for a D1 team ever). Time to prepare for the future and if JG is it then prepare for 2 more losing seasons. Gotta cut him loose and build for the future. Let one of the young qbs grow and improve over time. JG is a lost cause.
