He spoke with Norvell. Not sure why that didn’t go anywhere but was way better than the SEC DC gang of 3.

If/when we make yet another hire, it needs to be someone who does more with less. Even if they are a little unorthodox for the SEC.

Trying to keep up with the Bamas, UFs, and UGAs isn’t going to work for us.

No. Crouch is far better than Banks at RB. His senior season he strapped the team to his back and ran for over 3000 yards and 31 TDs and won the state championship. He’s 6’1 245lbs. Put him in the backfield and give him the damn ball.
I could not agree with this more. He’s the best RB on our team.

He did it vs Auburn and won. Tell him do that again or have a seat.
almost all 3rd down and 7 or longer conversions, believe we were somewhere between 60 and 70% 3rd and long conversion rate in that game
a statistical outlier for sure and not something to bet your fortunes on
that game gave me hope with him I admit but deep down I think I knew the truth

We're all frustrated, I get it. But you don't just take a kid that committed to you based on being told he could play LB and force him into a position he's said he doesn't want to play unless he agrees to it. My reasoning for Banks is that he is a RB with an extra year in the system now. He can be the guy who pounds it.

True. But sometimes an entire philosophy needs changing. There are several ways UT can play this, and from a strategic perspective, it will be very interesting-- and telling-- to see the approach taken.

Oh it needs to. I’ve never seen a staff do that like they have. I get getting guys reps and trying to find your best combo but just changing positions like they do is really amateurish. I guess it’s the deep high school background in them. It’s really stupid tho.

Everybody in college football is going to milk this way longer than they should. No getting away from it. ESPN has it on the ticker on every single network. The heads talk about it in every game. They even had a graphic in the ND game. For a program that isn't relevant, UT sure does own a lot of head space.

Everyone wants UT to fail for some reason.

We’re also fine at RB except in the pass protection aspect from them. It was awful last year and it was awful on Saturday. That sh** wouldn’t fly with Gillespie

That’s the point Ron.just about every pass he threw that game was a 50/50 ball but atleast he threw it down field to give our receivers a chance to go up and catch it.🤷🏽‍♂️

That’s not efficient football tho. I def agree with taking more shots whole heartedly but gotta go about it the right way.

Our best unit is our veteran senior wideouts. Callaway, Jennings, Palmer and DWA are more than capable of winning 50/50 balls and back shoulder throws down the field. Especially if the running game is working and it’s play action.

Again, practice Crouch all week at RB with Ty and Gray. Go into Saturday night with the game plan of smash mouth running with Crouch and speed/edge running with Ty and Gray. I saw that BYU DL, they’re not good. Run it right at them over and over and over and call play action once in awhile and throw the damn ball up to our playmakers. The offense needs juice. The entire team needs juice. Go create some with your playmakers and run right at those pasty white Mormons.

Have to when the team is so bad you have to play most of the freshmen. That's one of the things I keep thing about. How bad are our upperclassmen that we absolutely have to play the freshmen.

This is why I’m giving Pruitt till next year no matter how bad we do.

Next year he has absolutely no excuse. He will of had 2 solid recruiting classes 1 sorta out of his hands the year he was hired - so 3 total. He won’t have any excuses.

I think we will improve as this year continues. However, this year isn’t make or break. Next year is.

Trying to describe how I felt Saturday. This sums it up after watching the game. (Pruitt plays Big Dan)

Players play the role of Delmar and Everett, fans play the role of Pete (the toad)

oh im not disagreeing with you, I just wouldnt play JG. I'd go with a football player with balls, interceptions or no.... the rest of the team follows the fire and the heart of the qb
I believe the Cali guy has more than the Jersey guy

SIAP, this is unbelievable.

One LB was Ignont, which is the one who just seems to be jogging. Who was the other who bit on the wrong hole and was a step behind the play?

Also, the playside DE did what you're not supposed to do, which is tip-toe up in there and then react. The going logic right now for how you stop these kinds of offenses is that you attack the meshpoint, which increases the chance you disrupt the handoff and/or force them to declare where they're going with the ball, which increases the liklihood that the QB makes the wrong read. By pussyfooting around, you give the qb time to make a read and everyone else behind you is froze waiting to see where the ball is going to go.

I'm surprised our former DC Head Coach who was known for fire and brimstone pressure threw a defense out the that was so gW@#$d@#43ed timid.

Why on earth anyone wants to see anyone other that Chandler and Grey with the ball from the RB position is beyond me. Those guys are both legit backs.

Now if Chandler all of sudden can’t hold on to the ball a few more weeks that might change but those two are plenty good to win
