And Ty HAS to hang on to the ball.Nobody wants to say it but he helped GS score as many points as he did us.We’re also fine at RB except in the pass protection aspect from them. It was awful last year and it was awful on Saturday. That sh** wouldn’t fly with Gillespie
If I’m Chaney and Pruitt I put Crouch at RB. Practice all week with Ty, Crouch and Gray at RB. Go out there Saturday night and run it 75% of the time. Play action and force JG to throw it down the field 5-10 times and we win.
Oh and fix the damn defense.
@JeremyPruitt @JimChaney You’re welcome.
One LB was Ignont, which is the one who just seems to be jogging. Who was the other who bit on the wrong hole and was a step behind the play?
Also, the playside DE did what you're not supposed to do, which is tip-toe up in there and then react. The going logic right now for how you stop these kinds of offenses is that you attack the meshpoint, which increases the chance you disrupt the handoff and/or force them to declare where they're going with the ball, which increases the liklihood that the QB makes the wrong read. By pussyfooting around, you give the qb time to make a read and everyone else behind you is froze waiting to see where the ball is going to go.
I'm surprised our former DC Head Coach who was known for fire and brimstone pressure threw a defense out the that was so gW@#$d@#43ed timid.
#RonforOCOur best unit is our veteran senior wideouts. Callaway, Jennings, Palmer and DWA are more than capable of winning 50/50 balls and back shoulder throws down the field. Especially if the running game is working and it’s play action.
Again, practice Crouch all week at RB with Ty and Gray. Go into Saturday night with the game plan of smash mouth running with Crouch and speed/edge running with Ty and Gray. I saw that BYU DL, they’re not good. Run it right at them over and over and over and call play action once in awhile and throw the damn ball up to our playmakers. The offense needs juice. The entire team needs juice. Go create some with your playmakers and run right at those pasty white Mormons.

He's not good at gaining yards, better at blocking and holding on to the ball. And 3rd and short, believe he got us 2 1st downs, hell of a lot better than the QB sneak anyway.
