Colton Jumper was my least favorite player to ever watch at UT. I know he was a freshman but every time Darren Kirkland played he looked miles better than jumper. Yet Butch still played the jumper.
Remember when everyone said his dad was donating Uber amount of money and that’s why. Was that ever confirmed or just message board gossip.

Kirkland was never healthy throughout the season. After JRM left they played together…when he could. Kirkland was never benched in favor of Jumper.

I don’t know what the bases are, but the outfield fence is 225 feet, which is definitely in line with that age. I am pretty sure I played on a 200 or 225 foot field at that age. I even played on a local All-Star team that went to Nashville and played in a travel tournament and recall nothing different about that field. Went to 250 feet at 13-14 years old.

Edit: A standard LL field has 60 foot bases, which the LLWS has. Can be moved to 70 depending on the league.

60' is waaaaay short at 12. Travel ball is 70' at that age. 13u and over is 90'.

Please please give us plenty of Anish. He's great.

Otoh please no more Rod Gilmore. His years of falsely claiming Jalen Hurd "lathers up" over a game, while being generic and boring. Just no. Iirc he was also the same one last year that was convinced UK would have to go for a super duper long 4th down FG while Beth Mowins was just like...uhh what?? (correction: that was Kirk Morrison...no more of him either while we're firing folks).

Mowins has pretty good energy. Fowler is always solid. And hate to say it, but McElroy has a lot of good insight and is pretty fairhanded.
That was Kirk Morrison, not Rod Gilmore

TWRA Holston Valley. The military base called them and a game Warden confirmed it. We'll be lucky if it becomes public
No reason to hide it if it's true. But I'll believe it when I see the evidence/report. West TN I would be more inclined to believe. If it really is one they'll do DNA to determine origin. In Kingsport I would suspect it's most likely an escaped/released pet.

I've seen TWRA agents misidentify a lot of wildlife, overwhelming majority are not biologists but law enforcement. And shoot, we saw the hoopla over the "Tiger" in South Knox that ended up being a large bobcat lol

Just different for each league. I believe the LLWS involves ages 10-12. I didn’t play at 90 feet at 13 years old. But 225 fence is not unusual.

You are correct. I always laugh at the LLWS cause in our area Little League was an after thought. I remember playing travel ball watching LLWS on tv seeing kids play on fields that 7-8 year olds played on. You either played AABC then Travel Ball/USSSA started to explode around 2004 in East Tn and pretty much took over the area. Little League kids were totally unprepared once you got to middle school ball and the bases and mound went to the real dimensions.

I’m pretty sure they have been confirmed in west tn Carrol co. If my memory serves me correctly
they said it was a juvenile male roaming not necessarily a resident of the area. Hair sample DNA and trail cam.
