If the Vols can run for 135 or more it will be a 2 touchdown win for the good guys. If not, it will be a nail biter. I don't believe that we can have a big day through the air without the run game against Florida. Make them commit 6 or 7 to the LOS and the offense will eat, even without CT. The Vols don't even have to match their 7y per play average. 6-6.5ypp will get us the equivalent to an extra drive and that alone would give us a 7-10 pt cushion. Napier has the kind of schemes that put his teams in alot of close games. They aren't built to come from behind. The Vols must keep them off schedule early and often defensively. There's no double secret game plan to limit Florida's offense. Keep them under 5 ypc in the run game, hold them to their anemic average in the pass game and turn Richardson over when he misreads the field. Vols 34 Gators 20.
If we go over 7ypp, we will blow them out.

I don't know how Napier got this far. He is running extremely simple offensive schemes.

I agree. I'm hoping that the very undisciplined gap assignment for UF shows up early. If so, we will smoke them. The opportunity to run between the tackles is very real against this version of the Gators. They still have plenty of speed to get to the outside runs but they are disorganized in the box.

USF was running outside with success against them

IMO, that was due to the scheme that they run. They did have success on some outside zone sweeps but they were gashing them with the power play. IMO, they can be had between the tackles if our OL stays disciplined with assignments.

Just kinda killing time after a tough week at work and stumbled across a video on YouTube of blown plays to lose a game. The missed 55-yarder in 2015 against UF was on there. I was at that game and didn't know just how close it got because I never watched a replay. Pain.

Even if we were to blow Florida out on Saturday and proceed to blow them out for a solid decade, it'll never be enough.

I didn't watch it, I couldn't take it after 2014. All I knew is that we lost and I actually didn't even see the missed FG until years later. Unbelievable how close that was. One yard to the left and Medley goes down in Vols lore. But that one yard is the reason most Vols fans won't remember his name.

Yup. I was at 2014, too. Once I moved here from CO I promised to go to every UT-UF game until we won. 2014 and '15 were the worst gut punches I've ever endured as a Vol fan, but at least I was gratified in 2016.

It's funny you say most Vol fans won't remember his name. I was pretty sure it was Medley but...couldn't remember 100% and didn't want to look it up because it hurt too much to think about. 55 yards. Agonizingly close. I'd sure as hell remember who it was if it had gone through.

2014 broke me for a while. I watched up until Treon Harris came in and started moving the ball for Florida. Then I got a sinking feeling so I went outside for a bit. We were up 9-3 but I knew a TD would finish us off. Came back inside after about 30 minutes and checked my phone and saw 10-9 Final and wanted to die.
