It has since come out that the Dolphins staff "made some errors."

Having a complex concussion like the one that Tua had on Sunday makes you more succeptible for the rest of your playing career to having another complex concussion. And x amount of times more likely in the same 7-10 day period to have another similar/more severe concussion. Sometimes with less contact than the first concussion.

That first part is actually not true… yet at least. It wasn’t the dolphins, it was the independent doctor. Also, the report that came out was that “several mistakes were made by the independent doctor.. in the NFLPAs view.” That’s different than saying mistakes were made.

The result I think that is going to come out, which is just from listening to some people like Schefter and others talking about the view the NFLPA has, is that the concussion protocol was followed but the language of the policy is still too loose. Likely the “stumble/lose balance” part of the policy is why he was allowed to return because the independent doctor “determined” (and this is probably where the NFLPA said the mistake occurred and why they fired him) after the concussion test that he passed the test and that the stumble was likely from the back injury because he didn’t have a concussion in that doctors eyes.

The NFL and NFLPA are both now in discussions to change that language to basically say if there’s a “stumble/loose balance” it doesn’t matter what the hell it’s from, they will just use extra caution and say it’s from a head injury. So whenever this change goes into effect, you stumble/wobble/etc.. you’re out, period. This is a good start, but honestly I think everyone can agree that more protection for head injures are still needed.

I've got a bottle of regular Michters I've not opened. I've been on a 1792 kick but it's been hard to find. A friend of mine saw some and picked me up a bottle Friday. Should get it this week (he also got me a 1.75 bottle of Buffalo Trace). I'd like to find a bottle of 1792 full proof.

I like all the Old Forrester products but I've been keen on the 1920. I've got a few bottles I've not opened but are itching to try:

Col Taylor bottled in bond
Knob creek 15
Michters
You have trouble finding regular 1792?

What is the difference between our offense and the 90s Jim Kelly led Buffalo Bills?
Honestly, I can remember the team but couldn’t tell you much about their play. I remember Thurman Thomas and Jim Kelly. Other than that, I‘m not going to pretend I could compare it.

I’ll be interested to see if both Bama and Vols are undefeated what kind of tv numbers the game pulls. Ohio St-Mich was most watched cfb game last season. It even did better than SEC champ game.

Michigan-Iowa last year was 3rd most watched.

B10 has lots of eyeballs, esp Michigan last year. I’d be surprised if Gameday didn’t go there.
Yeah I get it, but PSU Mich don’t have a long-standing national history like the TSIO does. Just my homer opinion. Esp with us on the major come up

OK DOC and other medical people…..how long will a QB be out with a Sprained AC Joint ?
Google medical hospital say 4-6 weeks

Return to activity — Most people are able to return to full activities between three days and two weeks after a type I acromioclavicular joint injury. Athletes who use overhand motions (eg, those who play tennis and serve volleyball, baseball pitchers, American football quarterbacks) may require two to three weeks to return to full activity. Complete healing may take four to six weeks. Type I injuries generally heal well without an increased risk of reinjury.

That’s because our defense sorta sucks. Coming to grips with it. It’s holding us back.
Yes, it does sorta suck. Though I think the DL is good enough to limit other teams’ running game so we are going to have chances in pretty much all of these games though it will be frustrating at times and is inevitably going to bite us.
